As an American, I could do a whole riff on this, but it would be far to political.

    My response to Boomer:

I played small college football 40+ years ago, but I've given up on professional football. It bores me now. I never could watch games that didn't involve the 49ers and I don't watch the 49ers any more either (I did watch them beat Boomer's Bengals in the Superbowl) . There are only about 15 minutes of action in a professional football game. Its a game whose popularity is based on big hits and gambling. I don't gamble and I don't play fantasy football, so I am free not to watch.

What an idiotic statement. I guess he forgot to add "the rights to hold to our guns"... ..Boomer has never been the sharpest knife in the box.

Can't blame the Brits entirely for India, most of explotation was done by their subsidiary, the British East India Company.

As an aside, I love football and soccer. Nothing wrong with that.

I just saw a new FIFA commercial that featured Song.

He was on the bench reacting to Messi's goal. He can't even get on the pitch in fake life.

'It just got real.' Lulz. That does seem pretty realistic, except Song probably doesn't even watch the game in real life.

Of course in Song's case, it's, "If it isn't in the game, it's not in the game".

It's really a trivia/comedy website but they tend to cover some pretty damn interesting stuff.

Jump to 38:10 - though a lot of what he mentions is what I remember being taught in school (in terms of Europeans being filthy, etc) and figured was pretty common knowledge?

I gave up on the NFL, and really football in general, as well. Concussions and CTE, breast cancer profiteering, weekly season-ending injuries, and absurd rules and enforcement. And the college game just takes too long to keep me engaged.

This is the only true statement about american football. Big hits have been cracked down on for the past 3 years. Everything that "looks" or "sounds" bad is automatically flagged for unnecessary roughness along with a fine. We are now getting a watered down version of football, and its all to protect the faces of the NFL (Manning, Brady, Brees). Its quickly becoming a one hand touch game, and I seriously mean one hand touch because two might draw a personal foul with a fine and a season long ban.

This is coming from a frustrated 22 year 9er fan after that bull shit personal call on Sunday. /rant

Löw mentioned Gnabry could be a possibility for Brazil and that they observe him since a while.
