this is the training facility that has been mentioned recently. Pequannock is in Morris County near Wayne, up route 23 from the Willowbrook Mall.
I heard about this also, m father has told me a little about this. not that far from my town, which means no more speeding 85 mph down rt 17 to giant stadium. ~anna
anna, i think you might be misreading this. The proposed developement is for our practice fields, replacing the old site at Kean University. I believe that the stadium was referenced because the team offices would be moved to harrison if the stadium ever gets built.

Let me get this straight. The land is now zoned commercial and the neighbors prefer that to soccer fields? I hope that if this project gets blocked, they build a nice Home Depot there, drawing hundreds of cars at all hours of the day and night.
That's not the point, these people buy their homes and the builder and/or realtor tells them that "Nothing is ever going to be built in those woods" and the idiots believe it. Then when somebody has the nerve to build something in "their woods", they go ballistic.
it looks like they already blocked some kind of strip mall. Sounds like the locals are pains in the butt.
It also depends on the scale of hte project and especially lighting. In Middletown, NJ they wanted to build youth soccer fields bordering on NJT tracks and federal land on two sides. The locals made them scale down the project so they would not have the lights blaring into their windows.
