Two years ago I tried Pepsi for the first time after not drinking it for many years, due to the fact they were a MLS sponsor.

I've cut back on my overall soda intake since, but when I do grab a cola, it's almost always a Pepsi.

    Viva el Pepsi!

    Sorry if that was off-topic.

It's cool that we can access all the goals over the net. A month or so before this season I found myself going back to some of last year's goals and downloading them and experiencing some great memories.

    Thumbs up!

very nicely done too! what I like is that they've done a good job splicing the replays together...you actually get to see the buildup of most the goals.

This will eventually be a problem. The teams with the most fans on the internet will vote for their teams favorite goals. We could have 23 goals to choose from at the end from one single team.

The insinuation that soccer fans pad opinion polls at mlsnet.com or any other site is ridiculous!

The soccer community and humanity in general would NEVER falsify their opinion about goals or any other subject just to see their favorite team win a poll!

    NEVER!

Cobi's goal Id rank 4th. Was a nice finish and poor defending in the box, Cobi should have had a guy in his shirt and that ball shouldnt have been able to take such a nice lazy stroll through the box.

Denton's Id rank 3rd, nice post up by McBride and nice finish.

Mullan's goal I rank 2nd, was a great through ball, nice run and nice one time finish. Could have been goal of the week.

But I chose Ralston's as the goal of the week, nice run by Noonan and a nice finish by Ralston against pretty tight marking when they didnt have much of an angle at all to work with.

That said the poll is flawed, and I suspect its the result of a few bored galaxy fans.

Ralston's was a close second for me. I voted for Mullan's because of the throughball and solid finish with the keeper up in his grill.

I also was surprised that McBride's goal wasn't included, but Moreno's PK was. might not have been spectacular, but it was a great move by Cunni and a decent pass as well. The shock of a great pass by Cunni should've been enough to bump it into contention.

Onstad's goal is clearly the goal of the week.
How often does a keeper look that stupid and foolish?

This alone should be reason enough for MLS to ban non-American GKs from playing in our league.

Love the video. Just got to see that Onstad OG for the first time. Man, that is one ugly play. I didn't realize until I saw the video that he handed them the corner too by catching an errant shot beyond the endline!

Awesome! I had trouble between Ralston and Mullans goals, and since I'm a Quakes fan, I voted for Mullan. Although, as others have stated, Onstad's goal was by far the goal of the week and probably year. Stunning.....

Absolutely breath-taking. The defenders had no chance of stopping that goal. Golazo!!!!

You can't stop Onstad...you can only hope to contain him.

    trouble with poll

Did anyone else have trouble voting? I went to the page viewed all of the goals, and when I went to vote, the page already said "Thank you for voting!"

I would have voted for Denton's goal. Controlling the ball at the speed he was going and still be able to get through two defenders made it the best goal for me. I was considering voting for Ralston's but the camera view wasn't good enough to tell how tough his finish was or wasn't.

I had no problem. See if you are rejecting cookies from mlsnet or third party cookies. That may be part of the problem.
