He overslept and was being punished by an angry Peter Bosz

Yeeeeah…… about that. I think their supporters were a wee bit pissed today. :D

  7. Tillman manages the impossible at PSV and was left out of the squad by Bosz.
Peter Bosz had no mercy on Malik Tillman. The PSV midfielder overslept on Saturday for the evening match (!) against Almere City FC and was therefore not included in the match selection.

Seems like an invasion of Tillman’s privacy. Someone’s got a big fine coming.

  9. Nobody mentioned his narcoleptic disorder.

Bet he fell asleep on the bus.

  11. Guus Til made it into several Team of the Week, so Tillman has some work on his hands.

Good news - the guys playing instead of Yanks open the scoring! Teze to Luuk to make it 1-0.

3-0 now, where are those two subs I ordered?

Edit: One finally arrived. Tillman on for Til at 67'. Still no Pepi.

And now Pepi on as well in the 77th, obviously for brace-scorer de Jong.

Pepi blows a chance trying to get in an extra touch before shooting after collecting a ball over the top.

Pepi puts one in the net on what turned into a 3 v 0, but called back for offside.

Pepi gets behind the defense, sees Tillman making the near post run ... and plays it behind Malik and into a space that would have been dangerous if anyone on PSV had been within ten yards of it.

Pretty good defensive effort by Tillman on a couple of trackbacks and tackles to stop counters. Looks like 3 tackles 1 dribble, 1 fouled, 1 foul in his 27 minutes shift.

Full time. Malik did pretty well overall. Pepi will be disappointed that he didn't help extend the lead with the opposing defense pushing up and exposed - had a couple chances, even including the offside called-back goal where he could have made the same play while keeping himself onside.

Presumably Luuk will keep starting every match - that seems to be the plan for now.

  23. Seems a smart plan if PB wants goals.
Pepi needs to impress PB with a goal scored in this time frame.

I was thinking, maybe de Jong is retiring after this year. He wants to go out like a star and has told the coach run me until I'm done. So, he plays endlessly and keeps scoring and that guarantees him starting. It's working till it isn't.

    Pepi should start on Sat.

Two days rest and playing the 2nd from bottom club. With Sevilla coming midweek.
