I'd like to take this special moment to smell my own farts and say that I always had faith. I had full confidence that Sp*rs and Arsenal were total garbage and that we were surely better than Leicester. It was an easy bet when looking at things that way versus "can this team really make top 4?" Either way, Frank did extremely well with the tools he had.
Just a reminder to Man Utd fans you bought:-Daniel James £15 millionAaron Wan Bissaka £50 million Harry Maguire £80 millionBruno Fernandes £55 million Total :- £200 millionChelsea no signings, lost best player Eden Hazard. We are in a FA cup final & have qualified for CL— Frank Khalid OBE (@FrankKhalidUK) July 26, 2020 + the refs. Needed all the help they could get. Really wish they had failed.
My local club started playing again, only with no fans. So what was done to recreate the atmosphere? Create a remote controlled smoke machine. And even without a crowd, we still caused a smoke delay. There are no fans in the stands for @DetroitCityFC, so their fans set up a remotely controlled smoke machine. There is a smoke delay at Keyworth even though NOBODY IS IN THE BUILDING. pic.twitter.com/VlwDM7SSyO— Derek Wallbank (@dwallbank) July 24, 2020
they finally updated the no-var table, though it does not I think compensate for shit VAR decisions https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...tenham-Aston-Villa-Liverpool-Man-City-Chelsea Premier League table without VAR 1st - Liverpool - 94 points - Five points fewer 2nd - Manchester City - 87 points - Six points more 3rd - Chelsea - 67 points - One point more 4th - Man Utd - 66 points - No difference 5th - Wolves - 66 points - Seven points more 6th - Leicester - 62 points - No difference 7th - Sheffield United - 58 points - Four points more 8th - Arsenal - 56 points - No difference 9th - Burnley - 54 points - No difference 10th - Tottenham - 52 points - Seven points fewer 11th - Everton - 50 points - One point more 12th - Southampton - 49 points - Three points fewer 13th - West Ham - 45 points - Six points more 14th - Newcastle - 44 points - No difference 15th - Crystal Palace - 41 points - Two points fewer 16th - Aston Villa - 37 points - Two points more 17th - Brighton - 36 points - Five points fewer 18th - Watford - 34 points - No difference 19th - Bournemouth - 33 points - One point fewer 20th - Norwich - 23 points - Two points more
Vertonghen on the match that sticks in his head: https://www.thechelseachronicle.com...-of-disappointing-result-against-chelsea/amp/
Brentford currently leading the tie after 30 mins of the second leg. Worth keeping an eye on these. The way its shaping up it could be an all west london final. Side note / useless fact: this is the last match at Griffin Road which was first used in 1904. It is popular primarily because it has a pub on each corner of the ground. Even the Griffin is used because it is the logo of local brewery Fullers (and if you've visited the bridge, chances are decent you've enjoyed a pint of their London Pride). Driving into london from the west (as I did when attending home games) you pass both the ground and the brewery. Fond memories.
Some Fun stats from this Season ie Sterling and Allison equal in assist, turn away for the Sheva one... https://www.fotmob.com/embed/news/6646883/the-best-stats-of-the-2019-20-premier-league-season
Benrahma has surprised me with his vision and exquisite passing, love wingers that can play with head up (Pul seems to have a good edge on that over CHO so far)
Thanks for sharing.., Man U with most PKs not surprising this was a trip: Both Lampard's Chelsea and Lampard's Derby scored 69 and conceded 54 (excluding the latter's play-off campaign). Also pep made 143 different starting 11s... straight crazy
The Saudis have pulled out of the bid for newcastle. The saga continues but sounds like there is a US based bid pending. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53598846
It really is a mess up there. Though on this one I think a further mess has been averted. The review of the suitability of the ownership group was going to be a disaster either way. Either they green light it and many will be disgusted including many of the fan base there. Or they stop it and lots of questions asked about 'why now' given who has been allowed in the door previously. Reading a little more about this us bid of 350m and seems dubious at best. Newcastle may have quite the wait especially as revenue streams will be uncertain for a while longer and that is a crucial factor in the valuation of the club. Oh and fun fact that will annoy the toon even more: ashley has pocketed a 17m non refundable deposit from this. Shambles.
Snagged this from a yanks abroad forum. Bayer is already queuing up their spending spree. Kai is happening gents.
United want Peter Schmeichel to bridge the gap from De Gea to Henderson. Please be this stupid. Anything less the starting job for Henderson and he’s out.
