Considering we shit the bed again things worked out about as close to perfect for us as they could have. This spiral reminds me of last year. Wonder if Frank can pull us out of it.
Wasn't it Mourinho who wanted him here? Pep does have questionable taste in center backs, though. I don't think Stones'll top Dmytro Chygrynskiy in terms of awful signings. But still.
He got Laporte as well. Hasn't been all bad. Although he has been unfortunate with injuries this season.
Did Mou talk/hint about wanting Stones? maybe, can't recall*; cause second time around he, and following managers had and have had little input in transfers except for getting a couple of wants in sometimes, and raising a veto if they really don't want an out, mostly Em then and Board then and since, though Jose had some shit CB buys at ManU *note- as much as a Jose fan boy I was, since he left 2nd time I am as big a hater
To be fair, there were many managers, coaches and pundits who felt that Stones was going to be amazing. Pep and Mancy paid £47.5 million for him after all. Conte wanted Chelsea to sign Virgil VD.
oii is Dermet Gallager an idiot, never seen a ref's call he disagrees with, wish Sky would use someone else
and daily rant on var, how can the rules allow you to go back 2+ minutes in open play to overturn a goal but can't go back 1 second to overturn an obvious shite corner call leading to goal
and while I am rambling...for me Pope and Henderson are well ahead of Pickford in who should play for England, Pickford makes some quality shot stops but seems to blunder once for every 3 or 4 shots stopped and just so-so on distribution
Watched the england v wales rugby earlier and once again struck by how well refereed it was. Hearing what the ref is telling the players and watching them have to listen without back chat is such a departure from the petulance on the football pitch. The governing bodies could fix this by enforcing existing rules and also mic'ing up the refs. Any dissent would be punished harshly and whilst it would likely be a rocky couple of months, the long term health of the game would be much better off for it. With var hopefully getting some upgrades after the season, the time is right if the governing bodies are prepared to tackle it. Big if.
why is pep playing b-team in Derby Ollie on way to having 3 wins each against Lamp and Pep in one season
For future reference Reina showed you what a goal keeper blunder looks like another team trying to do us in
In other news, arsenal are riddled with virus https://www.espn.com/soccer/english...-olympiakos-owner-evangelos-marinakis?src=com
I hope for both; pooch is such an overrated won ******** all hack would love nothing better than to see him at utd; he had tots in near relegation level results over his last year (last half of last season and the time this before he was fired), as shit as Jose is doing, also fun to see, he is actually doing better than pooch was at end; mostly at this point Levy has squandered and messed up a cluster of young talent, ...brings a smile to my face
Jose, even the current version of him, would've won them some trophies. Poch just got runners up. Jose came too late for Spurs. Mourinho is many things and I think he's broken, but the man can still win. I don't think Spurs would be losing their shit like they did against us in 2016 if he was in charge.
