    1. Fire fans. Duh.

    2. Revolution fans. Revs take the conference.

    3. DC United fans. We win, Metrostars are out, DC can at least take consolation in that.

    4. Some Metrostars fans. If the Metrostars miss the playoffs, OZ may be out on his ass, and in an ideal world, Nicky, too. Some people in the tri-state area would probably rather that than a lackluster postseason.

    5. Dave Dir. If OZ goes, Dir is the logical choice. I think he'd be a good fit over there. Insert your own joke about his weight here.

    6. MLS headquarters. With a playoff capacity of only 8,500 in Newark, I'm sure Garber and Co. would prefer the crappy turf but nearly twice as many paid ticketholders of Naperville.

    Any others?

    Later,
    COZ

Nope, can't think of too many others but I'll second the fact that DC want you to win.

I think all the galaxy fans (well I can't realy speak for all of them), but I think we're rooting for CBUS, not just because we hate the goons, but I think EVERYONE wants to play the metro's right now, they've completely fallen apart.

Why do you want a tie?

If you are a Crew fan, you need to win to win the division and home field advantage until MLS Cup.

Burn fans are definitely pulling for Columbus. Seeing Chicago humbled is fine. But thanks to some Texas wheelin and dealin, we get the 2nd overall pick in the draft if they crash out of the playoffs.

Um, being forced by the league to give up a first round draft pick in order to sign a retired defender because half your registered squad is injured and you needed him to field a full team at the next match is hardly a brainstorm on the part of D****s, numbnuts.

You know, I think you may have a point here but a little confused in your delivery of it.

That the Chicago Braintrusts have become a bunch of "NUMBNUTS" as they were 'not forced' to make this trade. They probably even called us to make the trade. After the Burn office finally recovered from complete histeria they said "uh well, uh sure, why not".

    GO COLUMBUS !!!!

    What smack?

Calling chicago the goons, hardly qualifies as smack.

Nor does saying the metros have compleley fallen apart.

Hey! If I'm correct we still can win it in the playoffs. But even if I'm not, this doesn't prove who's the better team overall. :) We've had a rough year, but it's ok. I actually think most of MLS hasn't been performing to it's best.......

    Re: Re: Re: A win

I think you're wrong, goons are 7th, dallas is 4th. Here is how it goes.

    1 vs. 8 winner players 4 vs. 5 winner

    2 vs. 7 winnder plays 3 vs. 6 winner

So they can't play again until MLS cup, so you did lose the brimstone.

Yeah, and we've been doing it since 1998. We're the original Fire-haters, and still the best.

Okay, so going 7-1-1 against them in the last two years, while knocking them out of the playoffs and the Open Cup in 2001, has calmed us down a tad.

    Fire's biggest rival

Personally, I think even though LA has a better record against us than the Burn do, nobody hates us like the Burn. (And I mean this in a, strangly enough, positive way.) Not LA, not Columbus, not the Metros. I don't know, it's just something about the enviroment they bring toward us.
