I think it helps that we had Gillian a few years ago which put PSU on the list of possible places. I think for the top Canadians (from the east) its nice to play at a top 10 school but still live decently close to home with very similar weather patterns. I know that was a factor for Welsh. I can't believe some people actually like winter but I guess they do.
Here would this make you feel better : I know for Megan Mills the similar weather to NY was a positive for considering Penn State. (for reals a couple of years ago I was at a soccer clinic and she and I chatted about colleges and weather was brought up because I was looking at a school in California (now my present school)) Oh, wait. Did you mean Weather or Welsh? WE ARE PENN STATE!!
