In the occasion that a game goes to penalties, which 5 (or more) would you depend on to step up? Keep in mind the sort of players that would be left on the field after 120 minutes.
it should be this order Park Ji Sung -- cause he will score for sure Park Chu Young -- agree he should be 2nd because this is not a super pressure situation and he is unlikely the screw up by going first or last Lee Chung Yong -- he will likely score Ki Sung Yong -- he will likely score Lee Young Pyo -- he will keep his calm
Same, but who else is there???? lol Yeom Ki Hun? Kill me. Kim Jung Woo? Pathetic. Cho Hyung Yong has had some horrible passes, don't trust him to shoot. Lee Jung Soo? maybe.
Unless a player has especially good technique ala Del Piero, penalties are so much more about mental strength than the ability to actually hit the target. I'd prefer to go with experience: Park Ji Sung Lee Dong Gook Lee Chung Yong Ki Sung Yong Park Chu Young After that I'm really not sure. Lee Young-Pyo has the experience and I'm sure he'd have the composure to take a crucial penalty, but having rarely seen him take them, I wouldn't be that confident seeing him step up to the spot.
Lee Dong Guk Park Ji Sung Park Chu Young are probabaly 3 proven PK takers on our team... I have doubts in Ki and LCY to be honest... Ahn could be used also I suppose for a PK but as you all know, PKs are unpredictable best way would be to finish the game in regular time
Actually Lee Eul Yong missed against US Ahn missed against Italy but against Spain, Ahn nailed his pk. I love how people judge a player on one mistake they can remember, its kinda sad actually
Don't be so quick to judge the judging either, I was just asking a factual question because I didn't remember.
Are you insane?? PJS-will get things started off right PCY-won't miss KJW-mentally tougher than we give him credit for KSY-power and precision LCY-balls of steel
I hope the KFA/KNT is smart and they research all the penalty shoot outs the Uruguay national team has done ... we could take it if the game goes to penalties. People usually pick the exact same spot they always pick, 2009 Carling Cup Final Tottenham vs. Manchester U, Ben Foster was watching previous Tottenham penalty shoot outs on an iPod and managed to make a save or two to win the Cup for ManU. From the top of my head I can remember at least two Uruguay penalty shoot outs involving Uruguay (most of the players probably retired but some are still there). Everything helps.
In this order Lee Dong Gook Cha Du Ri (former striker) Park Chu Young Ki Sung Yong Park Ji Sung (has experience, can deal with pressure)
