I've been a long time lurker, shoutout to everyone for the many great contributions here!

Sharing that Soma scored today for the U19s, he played fellow American Bruno Klimek (born in Miami + has played for Poland U16 and U17) and I've heard they both played really well. So a cool matchup abroad!

Here's a great picture of them together from Bruno

Finished up the Division de Honor (U19) season over the weekend with a start and 5-0 win. Also has made 10 first team apps

Here's a recent clip of him vs Espanyol

Transfermarkt shows his contract expiring June 30th, which is also his 18th birthday. One to monitor this summer.

Transfermarkt says he's out of contract at Cornella and without a club as of July 1.

Contract now runs through 6/30/25 according to Transfermarkt…but who knows if that’s true.

He’s a tidy player, and I’d think a worthwhile flyer for a bigger club this summer. Some of the luster would be lost if he spends the year in the 4th division.

    On the road
Cornella are a smaller club within Catalonia; it isn't all that unusual for "youts" to start at Cornella, and then end up at a bigger club, such as Barca or [historically] Espanyol as they develop. Or, for Barca to loan players TO smaller clubs in Catalonia as well.

Jordi Alba started at Barca, before going to Cornella, and then Valencia and back to Barca, for example.

Adrian Gill was at Cornella before joining Barca's youth setup as well.

It is like with Figueroa at Liverpool (who trained with the first team over the weekend), I am not sure what a first team roster for training looks like at really big clubs during international breaks.

Liverpool had 20 players called up for international duty. Barcelona had 11 players called up and six players not called up due to injury.

Sadly not large enough to include me even on the list of alternates. :(

I think De La Fuente was getting time with the main team in situations like this too.
