What an absolute joke, it's going to be the David Platt debacle all over again and of course it's numpty Trevor Brooking who is his biggest advocate. Get these two morons out of the FA.

They are still in a trance over that penalty shootout. Completely ignored his d1ckhead tactics.

At least he has the respect of the players. Thats one thing that McSven doesnt have.

Barwick is on a mission to appoint the worst possible coaching staff at all levels.
What is he going to do next??
prolly appoint Dave Bassett as youth development manager or something.

You have to say, he is VERY popular with the players. I hated his negative tactics, but I'm pretty sure he isn't able to setup his own. Man City played more positively but I'm sure McSven has some say in the system, after all the Under 21's are a feeder team for the full side, might as well get them used to whatever the managers tactics, and disappointment that comes with playing for the full side.

    Peter Taylor played good football.
Then Pearce comes in and they play completely different.
Of course he picks his own tactics and substitutions .He is clueless.

Where is the proof Pearce is popular with the players? Players often talk up their coach in public, that's basic common sense.

The real proof is in how Bentley and Agbonlahor both showed him no respect at all, and in fairness to them they may well have been right to do that considering how Pearce set things up tactically. A creative player like Bentley would have been a mystery to him and Agbonlahor would have had long balls punted onto his head all game long.

The difference in quality of football between the U-21s under Taylor and under Pearce is like night and day. Which is a real shame. They went from an attractive and highly competent team into playing like Manchester City.

In any case, it's likely England will fail to qualfy for the next tournament given how difficult how it is to qualify and Pearce doesn't seem capable of winning games, so hopefully his 2 year contract makes it easy to sack him. Then maybe someone at the FA will tell Brooking to fck off and appoint a decent coach again.

Pearce = lots of pride/honour but no brains

he is the football manager equivalent of a world war one army general, who sends troops over the top of the trenches to get mowed down by machine guns.
If taylor hadnt taken that penalty no doubt he wouldve had him executed for cowardice.
