Although I know that may bring back bad memories for you guys, do you still have that promotion going during the games?

If so, I think the Wizards may have found something to beat it in the ZardMeister.

Wasn't there last night, and hopefully it's never seen again.

Seriously, tell us more about this Zardmeister.

    It's too brutal for words.

    Trust me.

We didn't have any peanutbutter/jelly last night. However, the new pregame promo, "Game on" was a little silly.

The "Game On" thing was pretty lame (especially since "Game On" as a slogan was last used (as I recall) in the National Hockey League following the 94/95 season strike/lockout when play resumed - so its not even particularly original as far as organized professional sports in the US goes - I'm not sure why MLS has adopted it).

I really liked the "commercial" they did last year (with the "let the bodies hit the ground" theme song) before the start of each game. Hopefully they have something better in store for the rest of the games. The commercial from last year fit in with the "black and blue" theme. The Game On commercial this year fits in with "fans not coming back to a gimmicky soccer game" theme.

That was bad, but was it really as bad as last year's Lewis & Clark going over the waterfalls with "Bodies" played really loud?

Yes. At least that had cooler music. :D

Other than the goofy mug-shots of players around the league, I thought last year's pre-game video was cool... in terms of an aggressive feel that gets people amped up, I thought it worked. They just should have put more game video in there instead of the mug-shots.
