Hi everyone, First of all, welcome to the new posters joining us! You might have recently created an account just to get in on the World Cup excitement, or you may have already been lurking around BigSoccer and decided to finally get involved in all the banter. Either way, welcome! A general bit of advice for you, as well as a reminder for our longtime posters: we're all here for the football. With that in mind, we here are taking a zero-tolerance policy towards expressions of racism, sexism, discrimination based on sexual orientation, xenophobia, ad hominem attacks, insults (towards a group of people, countries, or fellow posters) and trolling. Infractions will get you booked - and if you ask where was your warning, this is it. If you see a fellow poster insulting you or a part of your identity (race, sex, nationality, etc.)? Don't respond in kind - REPORT IT. It is the fastest way for us mods to handle the offending posts. So, with that said, good luck to both sides, and let's enjoy!
Senegal looks better on paper, but Poland is more experienced and has probably better coach. It will be a close game, but I expect Poland to win 3:2
I would put 3:2 to Poland as well. Experience plus huge attack power for Poland... Senegal players are good over all, but still quite a young squad, with inexperienced coach. I think 2022 may be Senegal's time, if they keep working hard.
I honestly don't know how this will go; this world cup has reminded us that anything can happen and in a group like this, it's even unclearer.... X.X
I can't see us beating Germany if we do run into them in the Quarter finals. I mean yeah Mexico managed to but Germany are likely going to be increasingly disciplined especially in that round. I am confident of getting to where we were last time but again, we can only go far depending on how the teams are by then.
Germany is out against Brazil. They done guys. Stick a fork in them. It took years of disappointment to win the World Cup. 2002 final loss, 2006 semifinal loss, 2008 final loss, 2010 semifinal loss, 2012 semifinal loss. Schweinsteger, Lahm, klose... they were desperate to win. The new kids did not experience that. Like immigrants to a new country the original group was super hard working. These new guys will feel entitled and won’t put in the work. It’s impossible to have the same drive once you won already. And odds look like the refs are not helping teams because of star power. Colombia if they advance will face Belgium and then Brazil or England and then Mexico
Yes, the chances of Germany doing a double was always Löw. I had them Down at a SF exit but they might not even get that far, still early though.
On another note glad you are still around, the African teams have been extrordinarily unlucky they could of and maybe should of had a number of draws, bad luck does not continue if you work hard and things Will improve maybe not drastically but it Will improve.
I think everyone misunderstood. I'm out of here in the sense I won't be around today to comment on the Senegal game, not that I'm gone for good. Group H about to be turned on its head! Japan 1 up and 1 man up!
Very attacking lineup from Poland. hmmmm. Coach Cisse from Senegal with more baffling choices that make me scratch my head. You have a keeper who kept all season for SPAL in Serie A, and a keeper at Rennes in France, and you go with a Senegalese based keeper ? Where is Kouyate ? This coach man. SMH.
I hope Senegal play their game today. Go for the win. Why do I have the feeling that this game will be decided by the ref?
