Given the 52-48 split and even 10/3 v 10/3 in shots, I think a 1-0 on a free kick hardly qualifies as a beating. CR definitely deserved better out of this. Not Peru level deserve better, but still.

As bus-parking teams go, I'm not Serbia exactly brings much to this cup. Still, I'd have expected CR to have had better experience breaking down such teams after dealing with the Guatemalas of the world year in and year out.

As expected Euro minnows get the luck in Europe. Usually that way.

4 years of age (oldest team) and not having the same manager made it clear to me that they would not overachieve like they did last time.
Plus as some have alluded to they are not sneaking up on anyone this time around.
Teams are more aware of them.
