I don't care about the outcome of this match as long as we meet Portugal on knock out stage. We are through so it is not necessary to make our main crew tired over a meaningless match.

Almost as boring as the EC 2016 finals.

This French team reminds me of the overrated golden generation English squad(2002-2010). Well stacked team with great individual talent, but average chemistry.

Don't judge the favourites by their play in group stage. Especially this French team plays far below their capabilities in this group stage. Still getting results. That's what counts at this stage nothing else.

Australia looks done. It will be interesting to see if Denmark will risk something in the last minutes of the game in order to top the group.

At this point it looks almost unavoidable. It would be a big surprise if this game has a goal.

I guess 18 internationals without a defeat is OK for a country with half the population of Paris. Congratulations to Peru may be added. You made a lasting impression on many of us. You will easily qualify for Qutar 2022.

Were Denmark and France in cahoot? No way!

My thoughts exactly. Not quite the Anschluss, but close

If Argentina squeaks through, will that France Argentina match represent the championship of mysteriously underperforming sides?

This whole group was a big disappointment.

A ridiculously stacked French team that plays really unconvincingly and just can't gel as a team under Deschamps. They actually seem worse than two or four years ago, and he's been the coach for ages now.

A boring, calculating Danish side that had its ass outplayed by Peru, gets through with mediocre performances in all 3 games.

While the two teams that showed the most vigor and spirit, Australia and Peru, crash out. Peru playing some really nice football but failing to score when it mattered, just like Morocco.

Few goals in the group as well, just nine.

And the award of the most boring game of the World Cup 2018 goes to....

    France - Denmark !!

Both teams made a lot of effort to not play a single minute. Denmark was particularly good in throwing away every single ball they touched without launching even a single counter attack. France's effort is not to be minimized here as despite that they still tried nothing to break the Danish wall. Well deserved award for both.

I fear that when we go to 48 teams, the groups will be even more unbalanced and even more boring for the last matchday.

You are spot on. Even 32 is too many. Back in the old days only 16 teams participated. 48 is unacetable from a sporting and competitive standpoint. But it is off course the same old story: Follow the money. 48 nations will gain more revenues.

Denmark was excellent at time-wasting, especially goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel
