Proportional to the development of FC Utrecht is that of the 21-year-old Paxten Aaronson. He is now indispensable in the midfield of the Utrecht team, who continue to breathe down the neck of leader PSV after another victory, this time at Heracles (1-0) thanks to matchwinner Aaronson.

 

Utrecht have a Sunday AM game v NEC tomorrow - which means I will not be watching out here on the best coast. Utrecht have only played 11 games to PSV's 13 (Ajax also at 11 and in 4th, Feyenie, in 3rd, have played 13.) Aaronson and co will be desperate to grab all 6 points from their two extra games (and, basically, all league games) so they have a chance of jumping PSV when they meet in Dec. Hoping to wake up to a BA brace.

 

Shockingly, Brenden Aaronson is not on the roster. However, Paxten started and got the assist on the opener. Taylor Booth subbed on in the 58th, and Utrecht just took a 2-1 lead in the 62nd. Sandler not in the squad for NEC.

 

"BA" is for "Better Aaronson" of course...

Utrecht keep the pressure on.

Aaronson's assist was pretty pedestrian - great goal tho. Bad camera angles here but NEC goal looked like a great run.

PEC Zwolle should have scored 4 goals at least against Ajax, they didnot, NEC with Sandler should have scored 5 goals against them, they didnot and FC Utrecht should have scored at least 3 more, but they didnot.
So Ajax basically by luck are 8 points at least above their standing.
And then you have mls fans bashing clubs like PEC and NEC etc. for losing matches against our top 4, because they're shit.
Right, like one of the mls clubs can manage the same goal scoring opportuniyies like NEC did against PSV.
