I think he can get up on that capo stand and lead a chant...a very quiet chant consisting mostly of moans and groans...

I am neither a Pause lover nor Pause hater so perhaps that will lend credence to my observations of him. I wish he was more creative from the holding spot and if he is truely a locker room leader or an on the field leader or inspiration I personally have no clue. He doesn't seem to be the type of guy yelling louder than everyone else and gesticulating a lot on the field. What I will give him is the guy is a tenacious bulldog and pursues the ball like a madman and is instrumental in winning it back for our side and goes in damn hard on all 50/50 balls which takes bravery (and what got him injured incidentally). He has a tremendous work rate and up until this injury no one has been able to displace his job in the lineup (Robayo among others). His attempt at carrying on for an additional 20 minutes with 2 broken ribs and a collapsed lung (as I understand it was reported) is a testament to the testicular fortitude this gentleman posesses. Now say what you want about the man but if this Logan Pause fellow doesn't display the type of traits we as Fire fans are looking for out of our players/captain/whatever than I don't know what else the man has to do short of walking on water and turning it into wine (or Malort) for all of Toyota Park to enjoy. Get well soon, those first four days of a broken bone are brutal!

I played with 4 broken ribs one season in HS and I can tell you that initially it does not alter your game, until first contact. Then, it's tiny short breaths and searing pain. SUB!!! Also tape doesn't help and you just have to peel it off while you're playing. ;) Get well Pauser

Let's not forget the head injury.

Did anyone actually see the collision? I already erased the game from my DVR and I didn't see it the first time around. Then I read in the paper this morning that the collision was with Bakary. Just a coincidence? Pause was the one confronting him for being a jake when Hamlett stepped in for the famous halftime bout. I'm honestly not looking to start anything, I'm just curious. It certainly could be two people colliding with no intent, but when I saw the name this morning, it did give me . . . . . pause.

I watched the replay in slow motion the other night and Logan was marking his man around the six yard line and Baky was lined up about the 18. When the kick was taken, Baky moved past his defender, Sean Johnson came out to play the ball, and Logan got caught in the middle of about 4 players. Baky may have inadvertently caught Logan with his knee as he went up to head the ball but there was absolutely no malicious intent involved.

Was he? I thought Paladini was a much better version of Pause then Pause ever was. Actual forward through balls.

I had a feeling Logan and I would cross paths at the game, and sure enough we both entered the stairway near the Club at the same time, I said, "Logan Allen, how ya doin'? you want a hug?" he looked a wee bit shocked, then smiled and said, "no thanks" I said, "just kiddin', I'll walk with you up the stairs and keep the folks away from you..." he said, "thanks"... I said, "four to six weeks?" he said, "that's what they tell me..." I said, "I hope it's sooner"...he said, "thanks"

He must have just finished his pre-game interview and was on his way up to the second star club...if I had to guess, I would say Demerol...
