    Per Facebook:

    Chicago Fire
Fire midfielder Logan Pause was diagnosed with two broken ribs and pneumothorax as a result of a collision in Sunday night's 3-1 win at Philadelphia. The club captain is expected to be out approximately four-to-six weeks

I can't say i'm glad but I do think we're going to be ok without him.

Anyone think we'll see a Videira-Pardo pairing on Saturday.

I can't pretend to know if the solid defense in the last 9-10 games was due to the 2 CDM or the solid CB pairing. A fair amount of the goals were from shit turnovers, probably by Pappa which resulted in an easy or quite spectacular goal.

Maybe remove one now with a diamond mid and see what happens. Not like you can't adjust 10-15 minutes in.
2 CMs and a CF is very similar to 2 CDM and a CAM anyways.

I'm really feeling Arne rounding into form is why the D has been so solid. Not to take too much away from Pause and Pardoski.

How about some love for the international man of mystery? I have been pretty excited about our center back pairing from the first time Berry got in the line up along side of Freidrich. My biggest questions early on were Berry's experience and whether Freidrich was here on vacation. Those have been answered. God I hope we have them back next year.

In games where both Arne and Berry appear, we are 6-1-2, losing only to LA

Due to his injury pause couldn't fly, so the team rented a van for him.the drivers, a trainer and Chris rolfe.

First, best wishes to Logan on a speedy and full recovery.

Second, the prospect of Pardo paired with either Videira or Paladini is scary enough but if you really want to frighten small children (assuming they're Fire fans), ask them what happens if either Berry or, more likely, Der Alte Mann gets hurt.

Why would Pardo with Videira or Paladini be any scarier then Pardo with Pause?

I think we will see Paladini or Videira on Saturday...

Due to call ups won't we be missing Pappa, Johnson, and Barrouch too?

    Pause, get well soon...

If the Fire are missing those players I propose this lineup:

    It's a 3-7-1 with no GK:

    Flaco--------------------McDonald--------------------Oduro
    -----------------------------Rolfe------------------------------
    Segares---------Alex-------------------Nyarko------Anibaba
    ----------------------Berry-----Friedrich----------------------
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    -----------------------------DITKA------------------------------
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    ---------------------------[______]--------------------------

First of all, if Logan is crazy enough to read these forums, let me be one that says I appreciate a guy who puts on his boots each game, goes out and gives 110%, and bleeds red for the Fire. I'll take a team of those types of guys and be able to compete every game even if they aren't the top players in the league. Secondly, I can only imagine the pain he has experienced with a collapsed lung and cracked ribs. That pain will continue for a while so I am praying for him to have a swift recovery because he deserves our prayers. Finally, when I watched the game, our central defense looked pretty weak with Logan out. I think his savvy and leadersship on the team is grossly underestimated by many on these boards.

Hey, I'll vouch for that, Coach. The problem is the same as it has been for years: we are overcrowded at midfield on d-mids, and right now, he is outskilled by others and is the most expendable on the field if replaced by a good a-mid Not Paladuncy, btw.
Get well, Logan. Drive the boys on from the bench.
edit: were it most anything else besides his ribs and lunngs, I'd love to see him and/or any other injured player to take the Capo stand for 5-10. I know that if I were there, I would give my best effort ever.

He's not the most expendable on the field. Everyone seems to want to play with one d-mid and if we do that, the best one we have is Logan.
