I believe I heard it on the Romapress podcast. It could be 2.5m base with .5m in bonuses. Or I could be wrong. Either way quibbling over 2.5m and 3m is not that important. The important part is that the reported 2.5m wages is POST TAX. Which means the clubs pay close to double that and then it gets taxed down. I know this part is right. We are paying Fonseca between 5 and 6m a year in wages. When all is said and done he comes home with between 2.5m and 3m.
Not sure, it’s all media speculation. Depends how Pinto laid out the project plans to him. CL would be a must. Allegri is used to having a hefty budget at his disposal so can’t see him getting that with us. Unless Dan & Ryan take a gamble and throw cash at him. Of the managers currently out of work he’s definitely the dream candidate
Le parole di #Gattuso non hanno fatto piacere a #DeLaurentiis. Rapporto ormai compromesso e destinato alla separazione, anche in corsa. #Benitez (soprattutto in caso di esonero), #Juric e #Fonseca le prime idee. #Allegri andrà alla #Roma, #Spalletti altra ipotesi così come #Sarri— Giovanni Scotto (@scottotweet) January 31, 2021 Gattuso getting the Fonseca treatment and to make it better Fonseca is one of the favourites to replace him if Roma let him go. You can imagine the same Roma fans calling him shit will be the ones calling him a snake if he made that move. https://t.co/EbK6WPvJSE— Fat Totti (@Fat_Totti) January 31, 2021
#DiMarzio: "#Pinto bravissimo nel mercato in entrata, in quello in uscita si è mosso tardi. #Allegri? C'è il pressing del #RealMadrid. Max Allegri's agent denies Roma contact: "It's pure fantasy. This clarification needs to be made out of respect for Roma and Fonseca." https://t.co/CB8k1LXtDf— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) February 2, 2021 Wow I’m shocked.

Italian media have been bombarding us with non stop rumors about a new coach to the point everyone thinks Fonseca is as good as gone. In reality they are probably working on his renewal as we speak. The only way a new coach will arrive is if Fonseca wants to jump to a better ship.
Fonseca: “Managing in Italy is very challenging, but after eighteen months, I believe that we’ve developed an identity and progressed since I arrived. We’re much stronger now.”https://t.co/dsCXYutInC— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) February 17, 2021
He isn’t wrong. Hasn’t been since Rudi that we had a specific style of play. EDF tried but it never really translated. He’s built a pretty solid base with a group of players whose abilities were pretty contradictory to one another. Or were just straight up terrible in previous seasons.
We've grown a lot since then - we're beating some of the teams that are spending a fraction of what we're spending for squads, and cannot get a point against any team with a player that earn more than peanuts money as a salry.
failure to beat the teams we were heavily favored to beat has been the reason why it has been 20 years since a scudetto and over a decade since any trophy.
I don't care who we beat and don't beat if at the end of the season we have 20% less points than with other coaches. Getting better results vs the weak and worse results vs the powerful just means that you're in the same place, but now no one from the big ones takes you seriously in the head to head matches. I'd rather have the previous state of things. My friends aren't friends of the Cagliaris of the world.
