Montreal is next to join the MLS for 12/13... after that i'm not sure. i think each prospective MLS team has to have their own stadium.

I think the MLS is aiming for an even 20, and will wait several years before they consider expanding further. Would be nice if they just got rid of Chivas USA, moved them to St. Louis or Atlanta, and brought the Cosmos back.

it'll be interesting to see what they do with cosmos.

will the cosmos have to go with adidas like the rest of the league?

Having seen the star-studded line up for VDS's testamonial, I'm even more disgusted at those involved in setting Scholes' one up.

VDS gets the testamonial he should, and Scholes gets a bunch of nobodies.

Scholesy underrates himself. Big shock. With self-confidence so low, it is a wonder he can even get dressed in the morning :D

Also, he's just given me fodder for the Carrick wars. ;)

“He is not a flashy person or a flashy player but he has great talent. He has great mental concentration. He reads the game so well. He is a dream for any attacking midfielder to play with. He is like a Rolls Royce." - Paul Scholes

Scholes not saying what he really thinks, imo.

Would be made disrespectful to do so anyway, so the uplifting stuff is good and professional.

He's talking bollocks about his own input, too. Maybe last season, but before that he governed us. Perhaps it's his own standards being way above the aspirations of others that make him say that.

That will suit them well. I'm sure none of them wants to be on the wrong end of a special.

The question is does the son 'tackle' like his father?
