James' reveals drug use, match fixing in revealing new book. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/spor...eals-drug-tainted-double-life/article2336191/ Sad to hear, but to me the bigger scandal is the match fixing when he was a player. I'd be interested to know who the other players were.
The match fixing is old news Pete. The Fifth Estate did a story on it twenty-five years ago or so. The others were David Norman, Hector Marinaro Jr., Igor Vrablic and Chris Chueden. They were also charged by police but the charges were dropped when the judge ruled that our courts did not have jurisdiction on what happned in Singapore.
I find it remarkable that Paul James can write a book lashing out at youth players years later for not standing up to his expectations of professionalism and moral character, while having been a crack-addict who was (regardless of outcome) tangled up in the largest match fixing scandal in the history of Canadian soccer. Glass houses much?
