Simply a statement on the relative value their MLS clubs place on them? Pretty obvious that Arriola moving for $2-$4M is more likely than Morris moving for $8M-$10M, yes. Will be pretty interesting to see how these two loans play out in conjunction with the labor stoppage and Swans promotion push.
However the loans work out for them, they will be a high intensity environment for the next 4 months and will come back (if they do) in mid season form, ready for the MLS season but more importantly for me and Berhalter, for the MNT games im Sommer. They also should be available now for the March friendlies as well so we don't have to call in kids to fill out the roster who otherwise wouldn't be called into the senior squad due to pandemic travel bans in March.
From Steve Goff: "United retained conditional rights to recall him. However, these conditions were unclear, and in all likelihood he will remaining in Swansea."
Arriola's unavailable for the big game against Norwich tomorrow: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55924303 Swansea will face Daniel Farke's side without new loan signing Paul Arriola, who has yet to arrive from the United States.
Interview: Arriola is hoping to make the transatlantic flight later this week to join his new club later in the week. He will miss Friday’s huge clash between Swansea and league leaders Norwich City but there are still 20 games remaining in the Championship season. On top of FA Cup and possible playoffs, there will be the need for Swansea to use a wide range of players and stretches of the schedule will be condensed. http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/arriola-eager-to-get-to-wales-and-contribute-to-swansea

I thought it was a good debut from Arriola. He played with his typical grit - which I think could end up being popular with Swansea supporters 1359588396394512385 is not a valid tweet id
I was surprised to see him at forward. I figured we'd see him somewhere along the right flank as a RB, RWB or RM.
I doubt either Morris or Arriola would get recalled now with the start of the MLS season getting pushed out recently. If there were a bunch of other MLS players getting loaned out to the championship I’d think of it as a smart move to mitigate some of the expected financial losses this season. Although it’s still probably a drop in a bucket for those billionaire owners.

Paul is too good of a communicator to have said what I wanted him to say: “Um, hold up...I’m having a really hard time here. Which language are you speaking? Is that English?”
