why the hell you would want to trash a proven coach and great servant of MLS in jason kreis is beyond me- good luck in assumimg that viera- with no MLS experience or committment whatsover- will bring the golden moments to NYCFC is a huge leap of faith- but i do admire the great supporters base- if 2016 turns out like 2015, what happens then??
The fact that you were able to decipher that to the point where you felt comfortable responding is amazing.
i feel bad for kreis being fired. i can see the reasons, but it's not like he had to be let go. they could as well have given him another season, although personally i think he would have failed. that said, i like the vieira signing. i would like to thank the management of nycfc for making this courageous, aggressive move and i wish the new nycfc coach success on the sidelines in mls. this league needs, in my opinion, to get beyond a provincial conception of itself. it needs for vieira to succeed. if he does, we will all have gained. and again, i'm sorry kreis is the guy without a chair when the music stops (for now).
When you say we'll all have gained do you mean the NYCFC fans? I don't think it matters much to the league as a whole, sure its nice when the big market teams do well as it attracts more attention but the league will do just fine if NYCFC struggles next season.
I think MLS will get more positive press if Schelotto leaves Lanus to coach Chicago, that move will have a BIGGER impact, can you imagine the players he might convince to play in the US.

I think most players in Argentina are fine going to the US. It's Chicago that's the problem. In spite of it's size, that city has zero international profile.
Look at the percent of Mirror UK readers that think Vieira will be a success in MLS: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/new-york-city-fcs-new-6857942
No - I'm just not a fan of owners having other soccer teams. Playing the third (was it fourth?) fiddle sucked under AEG, and I don't like it under Red Bull either. In general, my complaint is more about the off-field success (and general vibe) than the on-field success...at least in MLS, where teams with lackluster ownership can succeed on the field, but usually sink into the mire off the field. But since you asked, yeah: for me the gold standard is a dedicated ownership group with no higher priorities. SKC, Portland, Seattle, et cetera. (As you can tell from my inclusion of Seattle, I don't care if minority owners have higher priorities, so long as there's at least one influential owner with no higher priority.) In lieu of that, I'll take dedicated owners with a single higher priority in a totally unrelated sport, like Blank.
Wow ... are you getting paid to say this? This whole "thanking the management" is a bit weird What does this even mean? You're complaining that not all owners have $20 million to flush down the toilet for Lampard, Pirlo and co.? Get over it. This league has been getting stronger at all levels for many years long before your non provincial club joined. Or maybe you mean "provincial" as in the fact that we have cities other than NY, LA, Chicago and Toronto winning titles? Yep ... That's totally a death sentence for an American sports teams. How dare those other teams be better on the field. Don't they know their place? I mean look at how those titles in New Orleans, Green Bay, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis killed the NFL ...
i'm a purchaser of their product. a customer both directly and indirectly. sometimes i say thank you to a seller. manners, Boloni68. manners.
I seriously doubt it but personally I would love it, he simply doesn't fit into NYCFC's squad and is a liability with his lack of D. I'd do it just to get him off the team for the better part of the season. Again though I seriously doubt it, where is he going to play in that Man City squad?
