https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=33016 It would be nice to see another Swiss in MLS after Alain Sutter...
Lets hope he plys better that Suttar did for the Burn. Another Swiss in MLS would be great, but then do I have to start liking the Revs?
Alain Sutter did great for the Burn, especially in '97. I don't think Dallas could've won the Open Cup without him. He's a great guy, I got the chance to talk to him after a game once. It's sad that his career ended the way it did with a stupid injury like that (breaking the hip while stepping into a dirt-hole during practice.)
I had forgotten that the Dallas Burn did win the US Open Cup that year. Any idea what Buhlmann has been doing the past year. If I remember correctly, he did not play with FCZ in the fall, did he?
Well he might have played with the reserve team. I saw him with FCZII against Horgen in the 1st game of a doubleheader last summer (The other game was Liverpool vs. Wolfsburg.) All of this took place in Horgen, which is basically my backyard Hey Swissman, you going to see the Stade de Geneve any soon?
No, alas, I'm probably not going back to Switzerland until December (I was just in Switzerland for new year's). And although I'm technically a Servette fan, I don't really follow them any more as I don't find finding out results on the internet nearly as entertaining as watching the games. p.s. good result for Switzerland the other day... anyone see the game? I'm just waiting for them to play Ireland again, that way I get to see the game in Boston.
Yeah I was there too for new year's. I will probably be back there some time during the summer. I will def. try to go and check out the new stadium, in hopefully a Servette vs. GC game or a Switzerland match. I know what you mean, but this should only make your bond to the team stronger... Besides, the Revs are gonna suck again this season Yeah me too. I saw the game at an Irish bar and had a blast (Unlike all the other people in the bar.)
