Not the entire squad. Just some brats that was spoiled by the club. Anyways, the likes of Vini aren't good enough to turn this situation around with coaches available in the market. We will get a mediocre one and Player FC narrative will continue while Xabi will probably get time to build title winning team at Pool like he did at Leverkusen. Since I went through 2003-06 mess of player power and couple of key positions not being adressed, can't ignore the situation since last season. You went to trolling level supporting crocked bum Hazard and why he should start over Vini then so not sure whether this is serious either.
I say the club do some surgical removal of some of the squad cancers rather than going the cliche easy route by firing the coach which solves nothing.
I think it was communicated that one of the reasons he "had" to leave was so that players wouldn't treat him as the person of authority over the coach.
Reportedly from yesterday After the 0-2 disaster vs Celta, Xabi Alonso gathered the squad at Valdebebas - and he did not hold back. • “We can lose, but not like that.” • “You have to change your attitude.” • He even called out big names for lack of fight. Players were stunned; a couple pushed back, but Xabi shut it down immediately.
The lack of effort and urgency @ home against Celta Vigo with 11 men after almost a month away points to me more than a coaching problem. You guys can't even be bothered for the fans who paid an arm and a leg for tickets? This is more on the players than on the coach, who has had his failures as well. I think a few of the prominent players just didn't like how Xabi did things (high effort/intensity) and it trickled down to the entire squad. Now they are no longer following his instructions and gameplan as evidenced by the regression of play.
None of the points I made requires being in a dressing room to observe. it’s been happening in football for decades. But it's funny how you're quoting me like you're the unofficial godfather of Valdebebas, handing out wisdom from the sacred locker room even you definitely haven’t stepped foot in. What's next? Do you want to know my chakras and birth chart to determine if I'm qualified to talk tactics. News flash. Every elite squad has big personalities. The difference between a good coach and a cosplay disciplinarian is knowing how to harness it instead of crying about “player power” If Xabi builds a team at Liverpool, cool, let him. The Premier League is a different beast though! Also, the Hazard jab.. .man, that’s when I knew you were reaching. Bringing up takes from years ago like an ex digging through screenshots doesn't make facts irrelevant. You can dress it up however you want, but if a handful of “brats” can derail your entire season, then the foundation wasn’t strong.
These players have been lazy for two years in a row. Carlo style didn't work. They don't want Xabi style either. Let's keep sacking coaches. Your Hazard defense was trolling level indeed. Vini is acting like Neymar while being inferior talent. Your take on him will age badly too unless he changes his attitude.
And yes, Pool lost the identity Klopp built. Player circus led by Salah going on right now. They'd revert back to team first mentality getting rid of problematic players. While we are doomed for few more years if Florentino continues the path we saw towards the end of his first tenure.
Luis Diaz is far from clinical so some fans get frustrated with him and don’t understand why managers play him every minute but seeing these diva players, it’s not surprising managers love the dude
1998321172082020572 is not a valid tweet id He was grilled again by the reporters in this pre- City game presser.
Tchouaméni in press conference defended Xabi regarding Celta result. “If we lose 0-2, it’s our problem, not the manager’s.”
There's a lot of talk about Liverpool's future... Right now, this is where I am. This is where I want to be. After Celta, did you receive the support of the board? Communication is constant. Based on trust, unity, and affection. We're all in this together. Liverpool have sidelined Salah. Does that surprise you? Should the Vinicius situation have been handled differently? These are things they manage there.
At least he's honest about it. Unfortunately I think some of the payers low key want Xabi gone months ago.
I didn't see a particular message of unity from coach and players, just win together lose together, but there wasn't really a statement of commitment like there has been in the past.
Klopp never wanted Salah in the first place. The story of him having to be convinced in hour long meetings is well documented, so I find it funny to see both mentioned in the same structure.
Yeah of course ,because the rest of the post folded your entire argument into a paper crane . Posting a narcissistic cartoon fascist to feel superior doesn’t magically erase any of the points I made.
I think individual effort is only part of the problem here. Its more about intentional refusal to (learn to) play as a team with concerted effort. Which means synchronized/simultaneous movement, coordination and reading each others movements, schemes, decoy runs etc. all that that constitutes team play. The players believe that "give me the ball and something will happen because Im so talented" is a better way to win matches. Its not but their heads are too big to be convinced otherwise.
