Sack the coach. But winning consistently will be hard without a playmaker in the squad. 20009-2024 had Xabi, Kroos, Modric. Three of the best in history. Now we don't even have a starting quality one.

Calderon learnt that lesson from Florentino and backed Capello with January signings albeit youngsters to fix some holes.

But Florentino never showed that in similar situation so it's giving me 2003-06 vibes. Some random interim will replace Xabi and midfield flaw won't be addressed.

 

Applies for Kroos. Carlo team mostly played donkey football last season with that midfield flaw not being addressed. At least defense issues are several injuries rather than not having any creative midfielder in the squad itself.
