He's denied it (no surprise there). But his celebrations the other night after the Arse whipping they gave out, makes you think it he may be telling the truth.
I think he is money motivated but not as bad as that Sun quote made him out to be, in fairness to him he spent a good part of his career earning very little so the chance to massively improve his wages at a northern club where players are free to slack off as much as they want must be tempting.
