means that you have a bullseye on the back of your jerseys. Certainly seems that way this year, especially for opposing goalkeepers. Not necessarily fun to watch from an Arse perspective, but we have seen some very goalkeeping against us. Kiraly was the second GK who played us to be named to Soccernet's team of the week...
...and the recipient of highly critical review and speculation. Not only has there been a little letdown after ManU, but other teams are stepping up against Arsenal. This should make for an exciting rest of the season.
everyone is gunning for us, which is why its tough to win back to back. I still can't believe Utd has won back to back so mnay times.
so do i, which will kick ass. I need to get back over there for a game. Watching them hoist the trophey last year in person has spoiled me when it comes to watching games.
if we aint gonna win it i want Everton to partly coz i dont want Man U or Chelski..partly coz i want Shrek to be pissed off
I also agree but 'lower' teams usually are up for it against the top teams so we should expect this anyway. All the teams wanted to break our record so they were even more up for it. The fact that we stumbled after the man u game has given other teams confidence they belive they can get at least a point from the game. Although I hate iving the mancs any credit, the back-to-back titles are amazing. I do think we will win this year because we tend to play badly after a loss. Last year doesn't really count because we lost to chelski after the manu loss. The year before...november i think, we lost to everton (THAT rooney goal) and then lost 2 or 3 after that.
Lucky Bastard!! Here's to Arsenal hoisting it again!!! It is going to be a tougher season this year and it will take a lot of guts and grit to make it through. The Gunners may have to change their attitudes some, but it can be done!
Just floating this idea... Could it be that when we have won the title, the boss seems reticent to freshen up the squad? I mean, putting personal preferences aside, who here couldn't name the starting XI Wenger would pick if everyone is fit and available? Could this attitude on the part of the manager (in my mind anyway) lead to the established stars slipping into the comfort zone, albeit subconciously? It seems to me that the only one who is consistently under real pressure for his place at the moment is Pires from the challenge of Reyes. It's all a matter of opinion of course as to whether people think that those outside the first XI deserve a place ahead of one of last season's title winners and people round here have their own personal preferences as to who should be replaced. This could all be a load of crap too, I'm bored waiting for 5'o'clock.
