Roberto Donadoni appointed as new Parma coach The Stadio Ennio Tardini outfit has decided to switch coaches following the weekend defeat and chose the former Italy and Napoli trainer to guide the team http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/86/i...roberto-donadoni-appointed-as-new-parma-coach
I don't understand his tactics and how they worked against Siena. It's 0-0 against Bologna and he uses a 3-4-3 formation. Giovinco is a #9 and Floccari is on the left-wing. WTF? They are using the wings a lot and they don't have a tall target. Shouldn't they use the middle more often?
i am a juventino of course, but i do enjoy following the happenings in parma so i'll update what they've done so far this off season in terms of players arriving: sold 50% of giovinco back to juventus for 11m signed amauri on a free taken marco parolo on loan from cesena taken fideleff on loan from napoli taken acquah on loan from palermo signed dorlan pabon from atletico nacional in colombia to a 5 year deal signed sotiris ninis from panathainkos in greece signed forward ishak belfodil from lyon for 2.5m
You would think more people would be talking about Donadoni's Parma and their unbeaten streak. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/fc-parma/spielplan/verein_130.html
Parma have not paid wages to players or staff since the summer and new owner Giampietro Manenti has failed to make the minimum payments against debt due on 21 February.
They had their second consecutive game postponed, which also makes two consecutive postponements for my favorite Serie A club, Genoa, whose game last week was postponed due to weather.
any news on cassano? i know a few players have signed elsewhere but i haven't heard any intent to sign with anyone from him
Yes. He can no longer sign with any club for the rest of the season as a free agent, (as Cesare Natali did with Sassuolo) as his time to sign has expired. He also was interviewed today saying his only regret as a pro was his row with Riccardo Garrone and his leaving Sampdoria. Also, that he is simpatico with new Samp owner Massimo Ferrero and that he might head back there this summer. He also said today that he turned down Juventus 4 different times.
I'll take over Parma. Of course, it'll be with a boatload of American investors. With 221M of assets and >100M annual take offset by the current -14M 2014 balance, they are on the hook for about 74M including payroll. How is this possible? Simple, you sell to Albanian criminals after being mismanaged by Italian crooks/dipshits for years. Does it really take an American simpleton to save an Italian mainstay? The club will have to play up from Serie B, but it would be a short stay that will require local patience until finances are under control. Somehow, if they can get over an American running the show, they'll be fine. I've told my wife to get the kids ready for the move to north-central Italy, our new home.
Seriously, I don't think they can even afford to be in Lega Pro. They will probably have to start over again like Fiorentina did in 2003 and play their way up from the old C2 or 4th tier.
I read last week that the incarcerated former Parma and Parmalat owner Calisto Tanzi follows the club each week. Anyone know when he is getting out of jail? Just curious....
I was looking at line-ups and substitutes for Parma Calcio in recent games and I haven't seen Gianluigi Buffon's name either in the starting 11 or on the substitutes list. Is he injured? I know he is almost 45 but he was playing fairly regularly up until October or so. I wanted to go see Parma Calcio play next year but if he's always out, it's slightly less interesting for me to go.
