Rumor has it that parking will be $10.00 at Dragon Stadium for Burn games ($7.50/game if you buy a season parking pass). This adds up after awhile. We used to pay $5.00 at the Cotton Bowl. Anyone interested in car pooling? I live in Frisco. We can listen to anything on the radio except Celine Dion.

I can remember paying between $5 and $10, depending on the other events at Fair Park.

$10 parking is hardly uncommon these days.

I'm guessing that with Dragon Stadium, the reason is because the parking is so limited.

"Buy" a season parking pass? You used to get free parking w/season tickets.

Add to list of things that suck.

Anywho - I guess if you have a flexi-pass you can still buy one of these South Parking lot passes?

I'm up for it. But I bring my wife and my two young (grade school) daughters. The youngest one will only listen to the Hives. And my wife hates Jeffries. So you'd have to deal with that.

If they don't give me free/cheap parking, I will park very far away, walk into the game, and then soil the sidewalk next to where I parked when I leave the game.

    Just a warning.

Carpooling sounds like a good idea. Anyone in the South Dallas/Oak Cliff/Desoto area?

I've got an idea for you car poolers. There are lot's of restaurants, bar/restaurants, and fast food places on Hwy 114 in the area where you exit to get to the stadium. There might even be a closer place. Pick one and meet there before each game and car pool from there to the game. A good idea would be to pick a place that serves alcohol so you can get a drink or two before the game. You could gather at least four or five to a car/vehicle and then you pay very little for parking. Set a time you must be there by, like 30 minutes before kickoff. Get there early and particpate in a soccer roundtable discussion. Same place same leave time for the entire season.

As a matter of fact, I'll drop by and pick up three people. My charge is one beer per person.

The INFERNO might want to do this as well. Good way to have a before game party. Maybe we could have a board there to sign up on to get a ride. Or whatever.

Great idea, though I'd recommend avoiding the fast food places unless you get the OK first from the manager. The last thing you'd want to have happen is to return from a Burn game only to find your car towed away.

It goes back a couple of years to the game where Kubik and what's his name the south african guy got thrown out of the game (was it the same game).

In any case, she really didn't like his coaching in that game and has always disliked his game day coaching since.

I think she had a soft spot for Graziani as well.

I've never been a Jeffries fan either, but I can't say I hate the guy. However, it would be nice if he were more approachable and responsive to the fans.

Whereas Dir was known to drink a cold one or two with Burn supporters, Jeffries seems to go out of his way to avoid interacting with the fan. And while Dir is very good about responding to any emails you might send him, the one time I sent an email to Jeffries I never heard back from him.

    True.

Beside being forced to listen to The Cure endlessly - you may also be forced to sit between a 4 year old and a 1 year old - in which case you will be forced to listen to the songs of Thomas the Tank Engine.

    Oh its a fun ride.
