I've read in a newspaper that Feyenord was offering Park Ji Sung a $600k a year contract, which is $200k more than what Song gets currently. I think PSV is trying to get him too, but their offer doesn't seem to be as good. I really hope Park Ji Sung joins Song Jong Guk in Feyenord. I think they'll have a good understanding if he joins Feyenord, but either way it'll be good to see another young Korean playing in Europe.

Feyenord also makes Japanese player's Takahara and Kikuchi targets.
GM of Feyenord comes to Japan this week. The purpose is for watching games of Iwata and Japan national team.
Kikuchi, who is a high school student and is the player who participated in Arsenal's practice this year,is requested as participating in training of Feyenord at the beginning of next year from Feyenord.
Shinji Ono also participated in practice of Feyenord two years ago, and joined the team after that.

It seems that they like Asian players.

Feyenoord have realised that Asia is a relatively untapped resource for cheap, but good players.

Well, it seems Park Ji Sung could be going to PSV instead. Hiddink has expressed his interest, and wanted to talk to his agents immediately. Song said that he has found the physical aspect of the European football difficult at first, so I'm a little worried for Park, because I don't think he is as strong as Song. Still, I believe that Park has what it takes to succeed in Europe.

Park Ji-Sung currently plays in the J-League right? Anyway, I think it'd be cool if Feyenoord got him. I loved him in the WC and it'd be friggin cool to see him and Song on the same team along with Shinji Ono.

Yeah, he plays for the a J-League team, Kyoto Purple Sanga, which means there will be significantly less teeth-pulling in getting him sold than if he were on a Korean team.

Its been reported that the deal is done and he is heading to PSV. So this season, J league loses 2 young hopefuls(Takahara and Park), but its a definite plus for Korea and Japan.

park didnt come cheap. Korea better change their ways. Not all coaches will be persistent as Hiddink in buying overpriced koreans

Has Takahara's move to Hamburg been confirmed? -I am sure he will do well in the Bundesliga. Wish him best of luck in his new club.

PSV has officially signed Park Ji-Sung for a total of 5.8 million dollars with a 3 and half year contract. Park became the second Korean player ever to play for PSV. The first one was Huh Jung-Moo, the former S.Korean midfielder. He played for PSV from 1980 to 1983 and scored a total of 11 goals in 77 matches.

    Lee Young-Pyo now?

Park's move to Eindhoven has been confirmed. And I just read on planetfootball.com that PSV is now possibly looking at Lee Young-Pyo.

This is unexpected, but very good, because I think if Lee YP wants to go to Europe, the time his now. considering he's already 25 and all.

And I always thought that Lee YP is one of the best in the Korean WC team.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

I personally don't give that much credit to Lee YP. But Park's sigining with PSV and possible transfer of Lee YP tell us Korean players have been underestimated. Hiddink knows it for a fact while coaching that's why PSV has been very consistent in getting Park.
