Park Ji-sung officially became a Manchester United player after a sickening exit from South Korea. Park, 24, spat out a live worm from a peanut caramel he had been given during talks at the Korean FA building. The player was so appalled he immediately left the talks that were due to complete formalities over his transfer. A Korean FA spokesman said: "The toffee was not past its sell-by date and since it was delivered just that morning from a nearby market, we were also very surprised."

    ew
