I see zero possibility of him not being here next year. He loves it here, he and Jeffries get along great and the team plays better when he is on the field. Only if Jeffries himself doesn't get re-signed does this become a question.
I know hes going to be here too. I'm just asking if he got a new contract which would make him a burn for the next two years or if he's going to play out his contract this year.
he is medellin colombia - right now will report to dallas office next week will play at least one more season in MLS 'got to pay all the bills of his 2yr old house= 200k'
Does he plan to stay in Dallas or keep a house here after he retires? At one time he wanted to start a soccer academy in Dallas, he has a green card, and now a house here.
He'll be back the 15th. very eager to get back to training. hay efernandez. congrats to DIM Campeon 2002. first time in 45 year folks!!he is thinking of staying here after he retires. he wants to coach. Will have soccer acadamy here if he does.
Oscar will be here this year, next year, and perhaps the year after that. He likes the United States, and he likes Dallas. I think he will be here as long as he can play. He really shows leadership, especailly at the end of last year. Remember how, as he was introduced, turned to us and shook his fist? He was firing himself up, firing the Burn up, firing us up. I beleive he is the most important player the Burn has. In the off chance Andy brings in a new coach, he will undooubtably undertand this. The big question with our Captain is how long can he go? How many minutes does he play, and how many games does he get off? If we keep Vaca, I think the Burn can make sure Oscar is availible through the end of the season. If the Burn does trade Vaca, they had better make sure they have soemoen who can distribute the ball effectivly.
I have no idea. I think one can assume the Burn exercised the option year they held. But I don't actually have the answer to that question.
The reason I ask this questions is because right after the season both Jeffries and Swift said that the #1 priority of the burn was to get a new contract for captain Oscar Pareja. It seems they were not able to do that. Which then means the league was not convinced in signing a multiyear contract for Pareja. Which makes me think MJ and AS don't have as much power as I first thought. My point is that both MJ and AS can't do their jobs right, they need to have more power. The league needs to give us more power to call the shots.
According to our source, the option on Oscar's contract has been taken. So EL Capatian will be back for 2003. http://www.3rddegree.net/
