He should have battle scars from Mexico / Uruguay match. Hard to believe he made it through that one without showing red. Should bode well for us as far as his foul recognition and tight calls, however, that benefits some of the Argie defenders as well.
From an officiating standpoint, it will be interesting to see how the first 40 minutes are called, then after the firat goal, where I see the US really getting into Argentina physically, regardless of who scores first. Beckerman will get a yellow and have to be subbed if Bradley continuea with the poor give aways. I only caught the first half of the Mexico Uruguay game though, so this is just in generalities and not specific to him.
Sorry Jermaine, I didn't say he is good, just he seems more likely to allow your dirt to go unpenalized.
In Caceres' last 8 matches, he's given 6 (!) red cards, though 2 of those matches accounted for 5 of the red cards. He's also given 50 yellow cards (not counting the 2x yellows = 1 red) in those 8 matches. In NT matches only, he's given out 27 yellows in his last 7 matches, with 2 red cards (both in Uruguay vs. Mexico). So, much more manageable. On the other hand, this guy has exprience doing some big time Copa Libertadores games where things can get really feisty, so it's hard to read into it too much. I'm ready to see lots of cards, though.
I thought it's up to a review panel. One is the minimum. After that it depends on how many H1B visas we promise the panel.
