Here's where the players are going to play college ball next year, where relevant. No surprises as all of the AAs, most of whom are youth national teamers, are going to the traditional top programs (though, interestingly, reigning NCAA champ Indiana didn't get any of them). (I posted the same question on YNT fourm's topic as well) Does anyone know if the order the players are listed are in some sort of order based on how they finished in the voting? I realize the first player in each position category listed is considered the "top" player for that position this year(Davies, Szetela, Phelan, Sandbo), but did not know if the order of the remaining players followed suit or is it just random.
Coach of u-17 MNT Jon Ellinger on Micheal Stephens A good player to be compared too He is also the only 89 getting consistant playing time w/ the u-17 88's
Actually it's even more interesting than that. Only one player is heading to any of the final four teams. Indiana, Santa Clara, and St. Johns will have to make do without any of the 'big names'. Lot's of interesting speculation can go on here. Is this a one-year abberation? Do these coaches get to the final four on superior coaching, instead of superior talent? Or are they able to look past the 'name' and recruit based on their own judgement, and get superior talent to these name players? Can they take mediocre talent and develop it into very good talent? Did the incoming players look at the final four rosters and decide there wasn't room for them on the starting 11 next year? So many questions....
