Metapan won the Clausura league final yesterday. Canales played the majority of the game before being subbed out with about 2-3 minutes left.

As Metapan also won the Apertura final, they have qualified directly to the group stage of the Champions League.

He's playing for his old squad in Panama, Chepo F.C. I'm if correct, he's played in 3 or 4 games and has scored twice.

    Rolando "talentoso" Escobar (Caracas FC)"

Caracas FC claimed a record tenth Venezuelan Championship, their sixth title this decade, with a comfortable second-leg win over Deportivo Italia in the national decider. Deportivo, seeking their first title since 1999, were well placed after the first leg having secured a 1-1 draw but Caracas, who have also reached the last eight of the Copa Libertadores, dominated the second leg to win 5-0.

    Blas "raton" Perez (Pachuca):

Pumas UNAM won the Mexican Clausura in dramatic style, snatching a 3-2 aggregate win over hosts Pachuca with the second leg finishing 2-2 after extra time. Pumas substitute Pablo Barrera's scored the winner in the 107th minute, enabling Pumas to clinch their sixth domestic title overall and their first since 2004. Earlier, newly-capped Argentina international Cristian Gimenez had twice put the home side in front, while Paraguay forward Dante Lopez first for Pumas.

There was an Alfredo Phillips that played for Chorrillo F.C. and there's also an Alfredo Phillips that played for Panama's FUtsal team. I'm still trying to verify that if this player is the same that signed with Deportivo.. By the way, did he sign with the main squad, or reserves???

they said he went on trail, but considering he playd an official game i believe he was signed. Cali played with their 2nd string team, and he was on the bench so i am guessing he is a reserve player

question... when in Colombia it's mentioned that a player is "inscrito" does that mean "a prueba" o "contratado"?? I ask, because Brunet Hay was just "inscrito" with DIM, but he doesn't appear in the lineup for any of this weeks games (ni titular ni banca).

The guy just got here. I mean, relax...... "inscrito" means the same as i'm sure it means in Panamá: that he WILL play for Medellin in the copa mustang since the team confirmed it. It's just that as it happens often in Argentina, sometimes teams register players at the federation because of the deadline, but they fail to reach agreements for them so some inscritos never end up playing or being with the team. But Hay is confirmed. As a matter of fact, he's in the roster for tomorrow's Copa Colombia game. http://www.dim.com.co/site/index.ph...d=825:convocados&catid=62:noticias&Itemid=114

Now he won't have it easy as he'll have to compete with pretty decent forwards such as Jackson Martinez, Luis Arias, Cesar Rívas and Felipe Pardo.

All I know is that his father, brought both Ernesto and his brother Leonel (i think that's his name) from Chile to Panama back when Dely was in charge of the under-20's (i think) and tried and tried to get them on that NT squad.. pero nada.. I remember various journalists were in support of the Sinclairs inclusion on the team, pero nada.. lol

Ernesto "bam bam" has played with coco solo (chile)..estudiantes (inferiores) ..and Palestino (chile) .. his bro Leonel I think only played with coco solo (chile)..

Ernesto did play a couple of games with palestino, at least 4 or 5.. off the bench..

As of August 9th, 2009, Rolando "talentoso" Escobar (midfield) is no longer with Caracas FC (Venezuela). He is a free agent awaiting word from his agent.

Alberto "negrito" Quintero, still on trial with FC Cartagena (2nd div, spain) still looks like he might get a contract. He's played in all the preseason games, and is the crowd favorite. His speed and "habilidad" are pluses, his only deficiency his physique (needs to eat some wheaties, lol)

Luis Tejada, supposedly with Tolima (1st div, colombia), but no offical word yet.

Roman Torres: still the defensive stalwart in Equidad (1st div, colombia)

Blas Perez: signed with Al-Wasl FC (1st div, Dubai) scoring in his debut

Luis Garces: signed with Al Ahli (1st div, Saudi Arabia)

Gabriel Gomez: still with Belenenses (1st div, portugal)

Nelson Barahona: still with Huila (1st div, colombia) just regained titularidad after missing preseason due to gold cup

Amilcar Henriquez:still with Huila (1st div, colombia) just regained titularidad after missing preseason due to gold cup

Brunet hay pino: signed with DEportivo Independiente Medellin (1st div, colombia) has played a couple games in Copa Postobon/Colombia)

Luis Jaramillo: signed with Atletico la Sabana (2nd div, colombia) crowd favorite, already scored a goal

John Ruiz: signed with Atletico la Sabana (2nd div, colombia) already scored a goal.

    to be continued....
