Palermo vs. Inter pre/post match [R]

Currenty 1-0 Palermo at the half. Palermo has been dominating Inter. Corini scored a Golazzo off of a free kick from 20 yards out.

    Palermo 1 - 0 Inter (HT)

Ivan Cordoba brought down Caracciolo on the edge of the area and Eugenio Corini curled in the resulting free kick to give the Rosanero a deserved lead. It was a wonderful set-piece from the captain, who beat Julio Cesar at the far post to celebrate his 250th Serie A appearance.

3-2 FT for Palermo. Palermo dominated the second period, with Makinwa and Terlizzi grabbing goals. Cruz scored 2 late consolations.

A thing of beauty. Palermo dominated the game. They only managed to tie Parma last week despite dominating, but we finally found our scoring touch. And with all the missed opportunities we had today as well.. Makinwa impressed me, he can be dangerous. Brienza off the bench had some great chances at the end when Inter was playing offensively. The two goals we allowed scared me at the end but thankfully we built a comfortable enough lead. Corini's first goal was perfectly placed and all his other set pieces were great as well.

It's going to be hard for anyone to play us in Palermo, what a great atmosphere again this year.

What a game today! Palermo looks like they can compete with the top tier teams in Serie A, I don't think too many teams are looking forward to coming to La Favorita this year!

Wow, what a game. The score was far too flattering to Inter. Palermo could have scored 6 goals. And Makinwa's goal was a thing of beauty. I was very impressed with him. Maybe Palermo won't miss Toni so much after all. ;)

    Forza Palermo!

There are two Palermo v. Inter match threads. Can you merge them please?

Palermo played great today. The best thing is that you can't name one player who stood out, everybody played well. While true that Inter was simply horrible, Palermo took it too them from the start. Perhaps, Del Neri will do something with this club. It's only one match so I'm not yet convinced, but we'll see. It could be that he simply does not do well with big egos (like Cassano and Totti) and this squad simply does not have any huge egos.

    Great result for Palermo...

    Thank you...from a JUVE fan!!!

Inter and their band of foreigners ran into a Palermo team chalk full of Italians as well as the odd foreigner the way it should be!

From the highlights i saw looked like one hell of a game and Palermo created chance after chance after chance!
