Salutations. I don't frequent this board too often, but I was just wondering what was going on with the Ra cha cha stadium situation. There's a SSS being built 90 minutes from where I type, and I don't have the foggiest about it. Any news, Rhinos fans?
They are going to break ground this spring and be done for the 2004 season. Here is a link to more information. http://www.rhinossoccer.com/PaeTecPark.asp Also here is a link to a listing of a bunch of articles on the stadium issue and the Rhinos in general at A-League.com http://www.a-league.com/Teams/Rochester_Rhinos.shtml
ptp HOK sports, the firm that has been hired to design the stadium, is in the process of creating a new design for the stadium due to the fact that this "phase" of construction will be scaled down to 15,000 seats, rather than the 20k originally planned for phase 1. The design will be out within the next few weeks
Spring has passed and the Rhinos have yet to break ground on PaeTec Park. Have the Rhinos postponed beginning construction until later this summer, or is the project on indefinite hold?
I did a little scrounging around for news articles and it appears that the Rhinos expect to start construction in August: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/sports/rhinos/0508story1_rhinos.shtml Next Monday, June 30, there's a public hearing on the project's environment impact statement so things appear to be progressing on track: http://www.rochesterdandc.com/news/0616story3_news.shtml

I know it's just the angle of the picture, but, damn, you look like a skinny version of Chief Wiggum!
lol that pic sucks, the newspaper one looks better cuz the background is normal and not purple, i donno why its purple on the web site? lol
Until I took a look at the caption (and a closer look at your hand), I thought you were giving some opponent the finger.
Whoever converted the file to jpg didn't use an optimizer to check colors. I sort of like the purple sky, it matches your intensity.
