Well with the NHL's future in the air, a Rochester MLS team would be the only major league team in WNY from March (SU basketball) till August. Companies in the area already have a huge demand for Rhinos tickets to give as comps to their customers. EVERYONE has multiple Red Wings (Twins AAA team) tickets to give away, but if you ask the vendors for a Rhinos ticket they're spoken for almost a year in advance. I'm fairly certain a MLS team in Rochester would create an even bigger demand for comp tickets that the companies would buy as a season ticket package and just as big of a demand on luxury suites. It would be the only event in WNY over the spring and summer that a vendor could take customers from NY, LA, Chicago and Boston to watch our local team compete against their "hometown team. So that means the majore corporations based in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse would be seen as a market for Rhinos luxury suite sales people. Right now, as a USL D1 franchise, the Rhinos are THE event in town every Friday/Saturday night of the summer. EVERYONE (well ok maybe 90% of the population) in the greater Rochester area knows if they're sitting around on a Friday or Saturday afternoon with nothing to do in the evening that a Rhinos game is a good entertainment option. An MLS team would raise that profile so that a Rhinos game would be a viable option for anyone in WNY.
