Still think Hugo edges him, and maybe even Rafa. But he definitely is up there in terms of talent

There's no way Rafa is even close to the most talented. Cuautemoc had the most heart imo. We've had plenty of supremely talented players, they just didn't have ganas. Bofo is a prime example of someone who had talent but couldn't or wouldn't put it all together.

off topic, but if there is one Nad I've never had ill will against, it's Stu Holden. When I watch Mexico games on Fox I always hope he is in the booth. He isn't a homer like all the other guys and seems to always just state facts

Probably not back to Europe. Unless his wife doesn't like LA anymore. Maybe Mexico. I have a feeling he will retire with LAFC though. [emoji120][emoji106][emoji108]

Agreed. Holden seems like a genuinely good person.

    This is what plagues MLS

He’s amazing, but it’s not like I’m moved to check ticket availability

I’m more interested in the Orange County Soccer Club full of nobodies

I imagine a timeline where Vela never ********ed up his knee and didn't have to get knee surgery after his killer 2014 season. Those two goals against the Netherlands that fall are the turning point of his career and he enters the following summer market as one of the hottest upcoming players. He then gets picked up by a top club like Griezmann did and cements his status as an undisputed world-class player.

Instead, he got that surgery in early 2015 and hobbled the next two to three years with a bum knee. Eventually leading to his transfer to the MLS where he seems to be somewhat healthy but still shows symptoms of his past knee problems. Still, he shows signs of what could have been.

Y'all can keep shiting on him but Vela is the most talented Mexican player of this generation who got the rug pulled out from underneath him due to health problems.

He can easily play in a European top tier league for 3-4 more years. He should go back abroad

That’s because he is Scottish born and doesn’t have that arrogance that plagues Americans

Subbed off after scoring to tie the score at 3-3. Was favoring his hamstring, but apparently only precautionary.

Vela played 61 minutes and scored a goal in a 3–3 draw with LA Galaxy. Sisniega remained on the bench.

By the way @Salmos could you please rename the thread to "Pablo Sisniega and Carlos Vela @ that so-called league Rick likes (Los Angeles FC)"?

    Thanks in advance.
