We are away. I'm slightly more interested this weekend, last weekend was all about WC qualifiers. What's your prediction? What's the best European game this weekend? What's the best MLS game this weekend? Is it on TV? What's the best MLS game on TV this weekend? Should Howard still start for the national team?
This game kicks off 30 minutes after Washington-Montana. I'll watch my college live and this on tape-delay if its even worth watching.
Only the wildest optimist would predict a Rapids win. Have to be a regular optimist to predict a goal. What the heck--I'll be an optimist and predict a 3-1 loss. The goal will come from a Houston own-goal; call me a pragmatic optimist.
Text #5280 to donate a goal to Houston flood relief? More seriously 4 - 1 beat-down but we may actually look like a soccer team a times, our goal may even involve more than 3 passes and not start with a long ball (delusional I know).
For the first time since '96 I truly don't care at all about the Rapids game. Best game to watch this weekend is Atlanta vs. Dallas. It's the opening of Mercedes-Benz stadium. Should be excellent atmosphere, and probably will be good soccer. As a Rapids fan, I like to see Dallas lose any time I can so that is an added bonus.
Going to the Switchbacks game to Drogba in person for the first time. Florida State's game was cancelled due to Irma (which gives our true freshman QB time to get ready after the starter went down). Oh yeah, I'll watch Rapids on tape delay ... hopefully they can get a result. At this point, just play whoever and see who to keep for next season.
Houston is 9-0-3 at home. Colorado is 0-11-2 on the road. Why bother? The Kroenke Line is at or below 1.00 points per game for the Spoon. PRO's assignments: REF: HILARIO GRAJEDA AR1: Frank Anderson AR2: Peter Balciunas 4TH: Nima Saghafi VAR: Baldomero Toledo And the all-anagram version: REF: GO, JAIL DIARRHEA! AR1: Drank Refs Anon AR2: A Pubescent Liar 4TH: Famish Again VAR: Bloated Old Romeo
2-0 loss. Houston has a top 5 offense and a average defense, both of which are better than the Rapids. With how the team has apparently given upon the season this won't take long for Houston to run us over. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2017/09/colorado-houston-tomorrow-night.html
Maybe the Rapids will just forfeit to keep the score close? They haven't done that yet this season. Isn't a forfeit 3-0, unless the non-forfeiting side has a lead from the run of play?
Just looked at the table and realized I want them to win not just for our wooden spoon chances, but also because they might be one of my teams in the western conference playoffs. I hate Portland, Seattle, Dallas, and SKC. That leaves Houston and Vancouver. It is a grim year.
Doyle must be out with a concussion. Aigner on the bench. Never happy to see Williams and Watts starting. Here's how we'll start against @HoustonDynamo: Howard; Miller, Sjöberg, Ford, Williams; Azira, Watts; Hairston, Saeid, Gatt; Badji. https://t.co/XFyGMUrY84— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) September 9, 2017
