That's WC as in Western Conference. Broadcast is on ESPN. Thank god, because I can watch it free on their WatchESPN app - not live, but just afterwards. Which is better than MLS Live. Galaxy takes a 1-0 lead into the second 90 minutes (plus 30 extra time if necessary) of the contest for hosting the MLS Cup. If we can score on those green meanies, we will be in awesome position. Go Galaxy!
Sarvas and AJ will be needed and should be there Both @AJD_20 & @MarceloSarvas are confident that they'll be healthy in time for the #LAGalaxy's decisive second leg. http://t.co/T18NcD3WuS— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) November 24, 2014
Marufo's been put on the game. Forgive me for forgetting who, but someone put the stats up on the game 1 thread - it's worth repeating that he's dead last in called fouls in the league. Fantastic. Seems reactionary from the league after the yellow cards over the weekend.
Marufo is literally the worst. You can get away with anything and you can do it five yards in front of him and he won't even call a foul, much less give a card. The only thing he will call is leaving your feet or a high elbow, and he calls those only occasionally. But if an opponent is going up for a header feel free to plow into his back when he is most vulnerable (a la Scott) because Marufo don't care. And if they are trying to hold up the ball or dribble go ahead and kick them in the back of their legs. Marufo don't care about that either. And if a forward gets loose with the ball in your box, well what the hell, just bowl them over from behind. Again, Marufo don't .... well you get the idea.
This is what I was talking about when I said Stott did pretty well. He didn't give all the yellows he should have, but at least he called the fouls. The over-the-back ones are so often ignored, or even called against the offensive player.
I'm worried that if we lose this game I will lose my mind and bite the next person I see in a Seahawks jersey. (We have tons of bandwagon Seahawk fans down here but Sounders jerseys haven't really made the trek yet apparently.)
We had the pleasure of sitting by Seahawks Jersey Guy this past Sunday. Douchebag showed up 20 minutes into the match, and got up at least four times during the match (excluding halftime) to go purchase more drinks. He managed to insult our entire, mellow season ticketholder section. His pasty girlfriend (The Enabler) was perpetually apologizing for Wannabe Russell Wilson's behavior. What are the odds they live in So Cal? Or, are So Cal natives?
There are a lot of Northwest transplants in Kern County. They all say how much they love the Northwest and hate California, but they all live here for some mysterious reason..... They never wore much gear in the past. But now they are all out of the woodwork and swearing that they have followed the Seahawks FOREVER. There's definitely a contingent of flat out bandwagon fans, but to me I've seen more people that you'd be like "What? You're from Seattle? No way! I've known you for 15 years and you never mentioned it!"
They tend to be one of the most clueless fanbases in the country. There were a couple of people in Sounders jerseys who tried to sit in ACB. They were told, very politely I might add, that they should relocate. Of course, they pulled out their tickets which were not ACB tickets. They slid over into 122, and I told them they're probably not going to want to sit there either. They were incredulous. So they asked where they should sit in GA and we pointed them to the Sounders away section. Of course, they were adamant that they wouldn't be able to sit there with their tickets, so I grabbed a Galaxy suit and had them walk them over there, assuring them that yes, they would let them sit in that section. All the time balancing nachos, beer and a Sounders blanket (it was 152 degrees in GA).
You guys are a few rows in front of us. My row started a pool as to how long it was going to be before one of you all punched him in the face. Unfortunately nobody won because you people were so well behaved despite his shenanigans

I didn't want any problems since there's another home game in two weeks. Trying to avoid a red card...
I just realized that my two teams are playing Seattle this week. Niners versus Seahawks and of course our Galaxy. I may be a raving lunatic by Sunday. Clearly, I hope both my teams win.
