Too loose in possession of late for my taste, but I agree he has potential.

If result holds we are in 11th place in the WC.

All I see is a turnover machine with little composure in tight spaces or when being pressed. Also has offered very little going forward this season so far. And I remember him being more athletic, seems like he's slower and not as quick. Could be a lack of confidence given his age, but I was expecting more from him and the other seasoned youngsters this season.

It would really suck to concede right now after all that took place in this game.

I was commenting on a particular sequence where he put on a dribbling clinic and was great in tight spaces. Not commenting on his overall season performance.

messy 2nd half that went nowhere, but glad to pull off a result compared with the way we started.

Yoshida getting beat over the top on a long ball in the 100th minute a nice reminder that we should consider ourselves lucky to get a result. We should be better but this is the team we’ve got right now.

Klauss injury really burst our bubble, as we were having our way up to that point to start the 2nd half. Still managed to produce a clear cut chance between Reus and Paintsil that he should've buried for the lead, but I suppose given our form overall this result is acceptable. But when road games are winnable like this one was, we need to pounce and take the max points as we've already lost too many home games and need to make those points up. This may very well be where our season really falls off a cliff depending on the severity of the Klauss injury. But does this also give Vanney yet another baked in excuse to not get fired?

4 out of 6 points in Texas so far this year.

Columbus has been a mess. I’d feel like we could win that game if not for our mounting injuries.

Yep Klauss going down knocked all of the wind out of our sails. I really hope he is not longterm done but I just know that he will be considering the look on his face. He is only signed for a year and we couldn't get him service either. This really sucks. Reus as a False 9 was more effective up top but Reus can't go 90 every game. We now must go find yet another forward in a pinch. Also I think Vanney is still on the hotseat and has to get those 20 points before July to save his job. After tonight 18 points to go Greg!

Check out the difference in their keeper coming out on our breakaway (Paintsil) and Marcinkowski coming out on their breakaway. Their keeper keeps coming forcing Joe to make a rushed shot. Marc comes out but stops.allowing their forward to pick his spot.

Slightly different breakaways though. Paintsil was under a lot more pressure from their defender.

True, both the defender and their gk’er were providing pressure. But Marc did same in I believe the previous game. He comes out, then freezes about 8 yards short and the forward had little difficulty finishing around him. He also gave the striker the near post, which made finishing even easier.

I don’t really see him as better than Micovic. Not sure why he’s starting if we aren’t trading Micovic.

No injury for Paintsil, Garces is just managing knocks, and Klauss checks out as not too serious, but they'll have to see how long
