Gabriel Pec needed these goals and a bounce back performance after his game at Colorado. Congratulations.

 

First 10 and last 10 were great. The other 70 was bizarre.

But after the night we had, I’ll take a 3-0 win going into leg two. The 0 part of that was important.

 

Thought I saw a few glimpses of quality from Ramos for first time at this level.

Thommy has quality but looks like a guy whose preseason was short and marred by injury.

we can laugh at Klaus tonight but what a handful.

Haak and Glesnes could be a great pairing. Need a sterner test.

 

For those commenting on Klauss' shocker of a game (which still resulted in an assist and a lot of chances), this quote from him suggests he may have been weighted down with the news about Lowen's wife

Haak you proved to me that you were not a waste of a paycheck. You did good as a Centerback and I think Greg will keep you in that spot going forward. You are now the officially the next man up.

Thommy I like your energy and though I wished that you would have cut into the center more than you did, when you did get on the ball you were effective. You are going to need more games under your belt with the first team but I did indeed see the potential to relegate Marco Reus to the bench fulltime out of you; so good job.

Yamane and Miller you two came into the game and brought a much needed spark. Stay thirsty my G's!!!

Mt. Pleasant should have gotten absolutely eviscerated. So the 3-0 was enough to send the message. So long as we get at least 1 goal next game and play solid defense to prevent them getting 3 on us then this one is pretty much over as well.
