This team is already locked in as the worst team (statiscally) in LA Galaxy history and they can't change that. But if they can get at least a win and a tie in their final two games, they can at least not become the first MLS team to go from MLS Cup winner to MLS Wooden Spoon winner the following year. So there is still something to play for.... No Paintsil for this game as he's gone on international duty, so now we wait to see the injury report on our other players who have been missing (Reus, Pec, Yoshida, Sanabria, Ramirez) to see what sort of team we have.... And last game I'll be at in person this season. So let's win one for the Hogster... Let's Go Galaxy!!
Looks like Miller and Ramos Jr. will also miss this game as they have been called up for the US Men's U-19 team. (Magana Jr. and Dylan Vanney also called up to the U19 - the LA Galaxy actually had the most players called up to the U19s)
The Athletic has a fantastic article about scouting. I’m posting the link here because it mentions Puig as a player the scout being interviewed thought would be elite in Europe. He said he thought Barca had cloned Messi. Thought you guys might be interested. Your team still sucks though.
lol I suck worse than the Gals https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6696360/2025/10/08/football-scout-notes-rodri-benzema-data/ I loved the article, and if anyone wants to thank me for posting the link, you can buy me Worthington’s book. Also, if you look at the photo of his brother playing for Birmingham City very carefully, you’ll see why short shorts aren’t ideal for soccer. (Yes, that’s his jockstrap.)

One fun thing to keep an eye on in this season of suck - Diego Fagundez is on 79 goals and 79 assists. If he can bag a goal and an assist in these last 2 games, he becomes only the 4th player in MLS history to reach it - joining Landon Donovan, Jaime Moreno and Diego Valeri. Apparently the team is well aware of this - so expect to see the team feeding him the ball a lot in these final two games to try to get him that milestone.
Not much choice for our starting XI I would say : Micovic Yamane Garcés Rindov/Yoshida Nelson Cerrillo Wynder Fagundez Pec Nascimento Cuevas With a very short bench on offensive players (Berry and Lepley), I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of VCFC players called up (Sullivan/Bucknor/Karani ?), as our reserves don't have a game this weekend.

Kids and reserves continue to get chances. I love watching who steps up to take them. At least that’s the joy I’m getting out of watching the rest of this season.
If Pec can start. Otherwise put Cuevas on the right and insert Lepley on the left. But otherwise that looks about right for who we have available.

Lletget sighting Casualty of the salary cap. Player good enough to demand a good salary, not good enough to be a DP.
Sports books favor Dallas. Bet $100 on LAG, win $180 if they prevail. Same bet on Dallas wins only $120. Also they expect a lot of goals. Total of >3.5 goals is ann even bet.
Cuevas on left will be an interesting experiment. Most of his goals/assists so far have come from the right side.
Nice effort by Pec but what I really liked was Nasci's run. The run to be right there just in case their keeper spills that is smart.
