Traveling to Seattle and our first chance to officially get eliminated from the playoffs. On the road and on the horrible turf means we probably won't have Reus, Garces and Nascimento. Plus Pec is suspended for yellow card accumulation, I believe. And no word if Paintsil will be back and ready to go. So another great opportunity to play the young guys and see what they can do against the best club (based on current form) in MLS. The only game left that matters (for the result) is Campeones Cup. So the goal here should be to test out our youth/depth and not pick up any injuries. Good play to help build some momentum towards the Campeones Cup (and next season) would be nice, but the main thing is no injuries and keep evaluating players with an eye towards next season. Let's Go Galaxy!
1966624453493928340 is not a valid tweet id Sanabria blowing his chance to stake a claim by getting injured. looking at this list, I think they should reward a 22 year season ticket holder and sign him to suit up and keep the bench from blowing away.
I expect to see a press release about more players being called up for short-term loans from VCFC. Nicklaus Sullivan for one. Maybe Kocevski and/or Tommy Musto with Sanabria out.
Game day!! Any BS regular who doesn’t post here, I will assume has been called up to the team so we have a full roster for this game.
You suiting up? MLS should institute the old NHL "emergency backup goalie" (EBUG) rule, but make it for any position. Sadly the old EBUG rule will get replaced so no more stories of a regular Joe schmoe local adult hockey league goalie getting the call up of a lifetime.
I got my Flu/Covid shot last night and it has knocked me on my ass. I can't imagine what would happen if I tried to keep up on the soccer pitch with those youngsters for even 5 minutes. My lungs would probably explode out of my chest and burst into flames and cause the game to be canceled. Which, thinking about it, might be the best possible result for the Galaxy.....
No surprises from who is available. Looks like skydog did not make the bench. LA Galaxy Starting XI: GK Novak Mićović; D Chris Rindov, D Maya Yoshida ©, D Miki Yamane, D John Nelson, M Edwin Cerrillo, M Elijah Wynder, M Diego Fagundez, F Harbor Miller, F Joseph Paintsil, F Miguel Berry Substitutes: GK JT Marcinkowski, D Mauricio Cuevas, D Eriq Zavaleta, M Isaiah Parente, M Ruben Ramos Jr., F Tucker Lepley, F Nicklaus Sullivan
Berry starting is like playing with 10 men, but somehow still better than Ramirez.... Other than that, glad to see some youngsters getting more playing time.
SACKVANNEYNOW!!! Tottenham and Leverkusen are actually winning now after having the balls to sack managers with contracts.
