we are getting pretty close to the time of “might as well just play youth” to see what we have. I’d certainly stay with Micovic in goal for the rest of the way so we can either shit or get off the pot with him as a galaxy player.
Looked ok-ish for parts of the first half. San Diego was largely in control though not very threatening. The goal is on Garces, the loss is on Vanney. That new contract is going to look worse and worse as the season drags on.
I'm not watching away games anymore - too much life to live. Vanney still needs to be fired. I guess I'm going Wednesday night because I have a ticket, but oh man I'm not sure it's worth the drive. There is literally no fight or confidence in this team. I mean at some point you (mentally) have nothing to lose and you just go balls out...right?
We need 2.11ppg to maybe make the playoffs. In 2021, New England finished with 73 points and 2.15ppg for the current best in league history. We are edging closer to DC’s record-worst team in league history. 3-7-24. I still don’t think we’ll be that bad when all is said and done, but I think we need at least 2 wins from our next 5 games. It’s the weakest competition we’ll face for a while.
saw this on the Reddit board and thought it was pretty funny also I'm coming to the realization that this whole season has been so bad, we as fans don't get to enjoy the victory lap of winning last season, just complete dread.
Think of it this way. We followed up a record extending 6th MLS Cup win with a record breaking season.
The body language on the last goal was so bad for Yoshida and Garces. I feel terrible for both. Both beyond upset. Now I feel awful for the D because that’s just an abject way to lose. You know it’s bad when my “mom” comes out and I want to start giving players hugs. Result got spoiled for me so now just going to watch the “high”lights. Sigh.
With 3 minutes left I was all ready to congratulate the team on finally giving up <2 goals. Something told me to hold off.
And now I feel worse. Thanks man. What the heck am I going to do watching this team in person with my family in June? Pray we don’t lose 7-0. edit: even bringing my Turkish dad because I think he would enjoy watching Pec and Paintsil. AHHHHHHHHHHHHB
Can you elaborate on that a bit? Never mind, found it.. https://www.marca.com/en/football/mls/2025/05/25/6832895ae2704e43428b4588.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...c-brawl-la-galaxy-mls-snapdragon-stadium.html And one more for clarity: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5RnA0QtJsSI
I'm sure there was, however as I am biased and this board seems to skew towards the older and family oriented ilk, they were probably nowhere near the chicanery and thus might have the same insight I'm about to give knowing that all fanbases have shitheads among the masses, this seems to be a huge failure by SDFC and its FO, from the links provided (thank you BeerKing) it seems the SD support group walked over to the LAG supporters section and began to start trouble and the "security" bailed and all hell broke loose, SDFC needs to clean up their shit, I recall they had issues with their crowd early in the season as well and as the new club, they should know better, heck LAG/LAFC is a much more intense rivalry and besides a few skirmishes outside the designated supporter areas, its pretty much kept in check in the stands. I also pulled this quote from a Reddit user that was there, and of course take it with a grain of salt as there seems to be some unconfirmed boasting at the end.

LOL, I cringed when the ABC7 news anchor reiterated to the viewing public that "oh by the way, the Galaxy is winless in 15 games and maybe that's why they are fighting..."
