Especially since Greg signed the extension. Ain't no way he's being fired this season so might as well root for the team to play well the rest of the season.
Who cares about the result? We didn’t lose to LAFC and I got to see a good game from Reus. And I got to see JMac come off his line.
The good news of the last couple of games is that Reus looked excellent and healthy. He probably needed that long time to recover but it's paying dividends right now. 2-2 seems a fair result, and I feel it's the first time in a while we got what we deserved. Here are our last couple of games : - 2-4 loss against Portland : we quickly came back from 0-3 to 2-3, amazing momentum who was just killed by a BS PK call. We may have deserved better. - 0-1 loss at SKC : should I remind you the stats of the match ? We definitely deserved better. - 0-7 loss at NYRB : we deserved that one to be fair. - 2-3 loss at Philly : solid first half and we choked. We deserved better. What's frustrating to me is that despite not being good and having a ton of flaws, we don't deserve to be last in MLS. We're definitely better than Montréal, St. Louis, SKC, and not worse than DC, Atlanta or Toronto. The gap in points with these teams seems a little bit fake to me.
What a strange mix of emotions. Drawing 2-2 at home and extending the record for worst start to a season, while playing poorly for 70 minutes should be maddening. Taking points off those clowns will always make me happy though. But boy were we bad for a lot of that game. Tutino was getting audibly frustrated again. It reminded me we were pretty terrible for 45-60 minutes most games last season, but then the raw talent of Riqui, Joe, Gabe and Dejan could click for 20-25 minutes and score a handful of goals. We’re playing just as badly, only this season it’s usually the full 90 and the quartet of goal scorers isn’t there to pick up the pieces.
Well, we played ok. Thankfully they missed a lot of shots. We should’ve scored more with our chances. But, we didn’t lose. Rues had another great game. I’m not mad.
Honestly….i kinda dug it. The boys didn’t curl up and die. And Pec and Painstil looked lively. We aren’t going anywhere this year but I didn’t fast forward the entire game!
that was my point with his shoulder. the lines on the grass made it very very close. and we don't have the tech the Premier league has, this is the best we can get in determining it.
Well, we broke the losing streak… And now we only need to go 13-5-2 the rest of the way to secure a playoff spot!!!
At least we had our best game vs. the right opponent. Plus we increased our average ppg from 0.231 to 0.286 and are now on pace for a season total of 9.7 points! The re-up is already working!
Highlight Time Folks I didn't think we would win so a draw is a positive result for me. Things I liked,... 1) Reus being legit productive. He got the ball to the right possession repeatedly. He finished the moments he had in front of him. 2) The return of Pec and Paintsil. Paintsil especially was playing with his back to goal led to several real chances at goal. Things I didn't like,... 1) Yoshida once again makes a massive mistake a game that leads to a goal. Kuntz and Vanney need to be looking for his replacement stat. 2) I'm tired of Christian Ramirez at forward. He is repeatedly too late to properly receive the pass. 3) Pec needs a goal. A PK, even an accident against the other team. My man needs to get one purely in the name of his mind. He needs to find his Killer Instinct once more. Okay on to the next game of San Diego. I am going to miss watching this one as it's my kids Birthday and he plans on blasting his cousins in Laser Tag battles.
