Damn - I feared Vanney making this decision. Brugman has not looked good to me for a while now. He is slow, loses physical battles and even his passing has been shaky.
Hope Vanney is right and has seen something I haven’t.

 

I’m am baffled by the Brugman decision. There were 2 much more obvious options.

 

This team will overcome adversity like Puig injury, Reus injury, our coach.

 

The bookies have LAG -120, Draw +290, NYRB +300. This translates to approximately LAG win 50%, draw 25% and NYRB win 25%. All odds are for results at end of regulation.

If we assume we win 50% of games tied at end of regulation these odds imply we are 75% to win the Cup.

Of course odds mean little once the game starts!

 

Pull for a headed goal by Dejan guys/gals. First because we need goals! Second, because I risked $50 to win $800 if it happens!

I also went "BRUGMAN?!"

In the pre-game show they talked that Gaston started with the team all week in the starter role. So the team knew. Not sure how I feel about this ahead of Diego, but whatever, just win.

 

This is likely the plan. Makes me nervous since NYRB employs route 1 football. That said, hopefully Garces has a blinder. He needs to.

I see a big game for Paintsil and Dejan as they focus on Pec.

I made few different bets, one of them is hat trick for Pec, 1 dollar to win 90, i just saw his eyes, eye of tiger again. He doesn't have them often. Actually, very rare. I saw them only couple of times before during this season. If ny won't double him, he might get it.
