I like how Riqui obviously protects his beautiful face by wearing a hat and sunblock most of the time...lol

That’s the rumor that he wants out - and I don’t see him staying on his cost.

I had read some rumors awhile ago that he wanted out. I think in the rumor thread. I don’t see us keeping him.

But who knows and hope he’s awesome on Saturday.

Why, why, why with the massive lip filler? Especially on young beautiful women like Claudine Keene above. It is soooo unnecessary. Plus, it makes them less attractive, not more. IMO.

Reus is recovering from his groin pull. Supposed to practice in full tomorrow

I suppose if he can play the question becomes - do you want Fagundez coming in late or Reus? You could make a case that Fagundez is the better sub against RBNY as he will have more energy/pace and track back on defense better that Reus - so maybe the better second-half sub if we are protecting a lead OR needing to speed things up and try to get a late goal....

That is real loyalty to fly out for this. I love Keano.

After Donovan my favorite Galaxy player. Well tied with Magee. And AJDLG. And Omar, Franklin, Rogers, Dunivant, Penedo, Juninho, ....

I think part of the calculation is if that you don't know how much Reus you will get so starting him protects you to have a good sub off the bench as opposed to subbing him on and him breaking down. Tough call.

I know the earlier teams and LAG History........but something about a team that wins 3 MLS cups in 4 years. Dynastic stuff. Legendary squad.

I think COTG touched on this too - if you start him, you know what you are getting and will use 1 sub to replace him with Fagundez when he runs out of steam, who will be good to go the rest of the game and potential OT. But if you sub in Reus after 60 minutes and then his groin tightens up again, you run the risk of having to burn 2 subs....

One thing I will say about Reus is that like Maya, I don’t believe he’s ever been on a first division team and won a title. He was not on Germany’s 2014 World Cup team and Dortmund hasn’t won a league title in over a decade. In the German press he’s been quoted as saying that one of the biggest reasons he came specifically here is because he thought he could win a title.

If he can go I’d guess it’ll be as hard as he can go until he breaks.

Reus is a defensive liability, I think he's proven that in many of his more recent games. IMO his best use is for set pieces.

I'm not seeing practice, but I would go with Fagundez to start, then depending on game state you could bring in Reus or Brugman or both. If you must have a goal, give Reus the call, otherwise trust the stronger, younger player who can play both sides of the ball.

Another thing to consider if we play Reus is that it's a different role playing with Delgado than Puig. Puig is both unpredictable and needs cover at times. Presumably, Reus could stay higher with someone like Delgado and would have fewer defensive responsibilities.

Yes, if Reus starts, he's in Puig's spot and Delgado starts in Reus' normal spot. Meaning Reus has a little less defensive responsibility and we actually have a little more defensive presence in the midfield with Delgado there.

I’m thinking how Delgado goes could be key to our success (or the the other way). He’s always been able to put in workmanlike performances and be effective but the beginning of this season he really seemed to bring a precision to his game—instead of forced and low percentage his passes were simple and perfect for his teammates to build off of or finish. Instead of a dumb turnover for no reason his one touch layoffs were hitting teammates in stride. I think some of that is maturity and fitness fresh legs at the start of the season, some of that was hitting the peak production years of his career in terms of experience and fitness, and some of that was being surrounded by players who saw the game like him or could make up for an on-time but imperfect pass with their own speed or skill). Now since he’s lost his 90 minute per game status some of the imprecision has returned, but he showed last game he is still an upgrade in our midfield when paired properly. I hope we see first half of the season lights out Marky for the win.

I agree Delgado is key - I'm sure he'll start and I hope he has a great game. His secondary assist against Seattle was a wonderful quick touch and great awareness, and we possibly wouldn't be in the final without him.
